Moses himself the Director for instance was born 2 months after the death of his father and by then his mother was just a young girl of 17years who later on abandoned him under the care of Moses’ grandmother at the age of 3years to explore herself a new rewarding life. Moses’ life experiences was the point for him to think too deep about helping the destitute children and today he has changed many street children into useful people in the Nyendo Community by involving them into community activities of sanitation. This helps when the community can look at these children as useful people than being subject to violence both from the police, town people and from older kids. \r\n\r\nChildren have been the main rubbish carriers with less responsibility, dumping rubbish anywhere at their convenience, for; they are made to carry big loads of garbage which rarely reach to the right destination. However, some community members have began learning by the situation and participate in voluntary cleaning of their areas. The main causes being; Poor housing and planning, Lack of enough skips located in different areas closer to the people, Reckless dumping of rubbish, Lack of a well designed dumping site for the public, lack of knowledge on the importance of keeping good sanitation behavior in our environment, Parents left the whole garbage dumping tasks in the hands of children which leaves the work poorly done , often children are found dropping these garbage on the way as it seems to be much heavy for them to Cary, people do not have dust bins at their working places.\r\nSAVO signed partnership agreement with Masaka Municipal Council to promote health and sanitation in Nyendo Ssenyange Division the activities assigned cover road sweeping, trench cleaning. This has acted as source of funding and at same time promoted sanitation. SAVO has given employment to 3 youth on the program and bought equipment to support service delivery, these were; 3 wheelbarrows 3 garden rakes, 4 pair of gloves, 3 scribing brushes, 6 brooms and 2 spades and have mobilized the community to keep proper sanitation.\r\n\r\nThe organization has been committed to the improvement of the quality of each child’s life within the context of family, community and culture.\r\nOpportunities for the child to grow physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, vocationally and in terms of economic and environmental security has been and will continue to be the essence of what SAVO programs seek to offer and promote them in ways that empower those assisted children and parents or a positive role model to direct their self-development in socially beneficial ways.\r\n\r\nVision \r\nSAVO envisage resilient children who live to their full potential, whose rights and aspirations are fulfilled.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nMission \r\nSAVO’s mission is to bolster children’s ability to deal with stress or an unhealthy environment through working in and with communities focusing on areas of prevention, care, support and mitigation; and capacity building so as to strike the balance between stressful life events and favorable protective factors.\r\n\r\nGoal\r\nSAVO’s goal is to mitigate the adverse health, economic and psychosocial effects of high-risk environment of children and their families.\r\n\r\nCore values \r\nChildren our focus, love, integrity, respect for diversity, excellence, continuous learning, accountability, gender, empowerment and child participation.\r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 1026, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 826, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 731, "latitude": 52.0003, "longitude": 5.981355, "city": "Velp", "state": "", "address_1": "Biesdelselaan 22a", "address_2": "", "postcode": "6881 CH", "iati_country": "NL", "country": 3, "location_target": 826 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/08/7a/087ab63afecc8f2679727ce68d7bbceb.jpg", "latitude": "52.0003", "longitude": "5.981355", "city": "Velp", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2012-09-03T13:29:04+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2016-03-08T09:27:34.102300+01:00", "name": "Stichting Tusaidiane", "long_name": "Stichting Tusaidiane", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 15, "iati_org_id": "", "url": "www.tusaidiane.nl", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+31 263628048", "mobile": "+25 6752766401 ", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Kees Ebskamp", "contact_email": "kees.ebskamp@inter.nl.net", "description": "Stichting Tusaidiane is een particulier initiatief om gemeenschapsprojecten in Afrika financieel te steunen. Skills Plus, Uganda has now made seven (7) years in existence since it’s inception from 1st October 2006. When the organization begun, its source of funding was from it’s members, well-wishers and Computer Training. The organization had one Computer which was used for both Training and Administration. \r\n\r\n The little fees paid by the Learners, well wishers, Skills Plus founder members, volunteers and Donors has given the organization a sense of direction and continuity. On its establishment, the pioneer Board of Trustees focused on putting in place necessities required by the organization like putting in place an office, a Computer centre, Tailoring centre, HIV/AIDS counseling and Training, Garage where youths would learn the practicals of Motor Vehicle Repair and Maintenance and a welding workshop where students would come for learning and also making a source of income for the organization and so many others. However, the organization is facing the problem of Limited Resources to meet its needs and the demand of the community she is serving. \r\n\r\nSkills Plus, Uganda continues to play a leading role in providing basic Skills that can improve people’s standards of living. Some of the Skills and activities that Skills Plus, Uganda provide are; HIV/AIDS sensitization, counseling and Training of counselors , Computer training, Tailoring Training, welding and fabrication, Child Support and Nursery teaching and day care program mainly to the orphans, Vulnerable Children, community empowerment in health like constructing a garbage bank or an ash put where the community can dump their garbage to promote sanitation and hygiene in area. \r\n\r\nThis year 2012, the organization has registered some success, more so, the organization constructed a garbage bank worth $2000, this garbage bank is almost serving the whole of Bugembe town council with a population of 60000. This has improved on the health standards of our people. Our Nursery school is also doing well, we now have a population of about 150 kids of which 70% of them are helpless. The organization’s target was to laying strategies for getting volunteers to help it get financial and material support from within and outside (Local, National and International) Levels to facilitate it’s activities and programs. \r\n\r\nThe Board members take this opportunity to thank all its stake holders, more so the volunteers that have sacrificed their time and money to fund most of our planned activities to help us fulfill some of our aims and objectives. \r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": null, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 1124, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [], "logo": null, "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2013-03-13T08:52:48+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:56:54.965339+01:00", "name": "GRM", "long_name": "Golden Rule Mission", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+256-773581934", "mobile": "+256-773581934", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Ms Kabagabo Claire", "contact_email": "clairekabagabo@gmail.com", "description": "", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": null, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 645, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 349, "latitude": 2.248889, "longitude": 32.9, "city": "Lira", "state": "", "address_1": "Plot 23/25", "address_2": "Acol Enock Road Junior Quarters", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "UG", "country": 21, "location_target": 645 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/11/e8/11e87e3b48662b2d9c2a38f41c93a076.jpg", "latitude": "2.248889", "longitude": "32.9", "city": "Lira", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2012-04-05T12:10:08+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:56:57.264457+01:00", "name": "LACCODEF", "long_name": "Lango Child and Community Development Federation", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "+256774039633 ", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Joel Acana", "contact_email": "joel_acana@yahoo.com", "description": "LACCODEF currently implements activities concerning education, health, livelihoods and child protection.\r\n1. This means creating the organisational framework that gives as many people as possible access to participate in creating development in their community and country.\r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 159, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 148, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 155, "latitude": -15.408193, "longitude": 28.287167, "city": "Lusaka", "state": "Lusaka Province", "address_1": "Off Kafue Road Chifundo Road Plot", "address_2": "No. 132/400 Chawama Compound", "postcode": "P.O.Box 04", "iati_country": "ZM", "country": 25, "location_target": 148 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/0f/9f/0f9fefa473272792feb2d778802635bd.jpg", "latitude": "-15.408193", "longitude": "28.287167", "city": "Lusaka", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2009-10-15T10:33:36+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:56:52.580045+01:00", "name": "Chawama Youth Project", "long_name": "Chawama Youth Project (CYP)", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+260-211272805", "mobile": "+260-955121087", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Mr. Justin Somi", "contact_email": "justinsomi200@yahoo.co.uk", "description": "CYP is a community based non-governmental organisation established in 2001 and registered with Registrar of Societies and the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA) in Zambia under the name of Chawama Skills Training Centre (CSTC). The goal of Careermate is to usher more people into vocations or career fields generally considered as less prestigious but were employment or livelihood opportunities abound. E.g. Agriculture or Arts, Entertainment.\r\n\r\nOur target is young people in two transitional stages of our education system i.e. senior secondary school and vocational training, where progression to higher level education is severely limited.\r\n\r\nCareermate has three strategic programme components;\r\n\r\n1. Career guidance - this is concerned with developing career guidance materials and sharing them with youths. The unique feature of this component is the way it uses ICT to enhance the appeal of career information and making it more interactive and interesting to young people. Here we use videos, high quality graphics as well as interactive content to fully engage the youths. The content is characterized by inspirational interviews and documentation of tasks performed in a particular job.\r\n\r\n2. Sharing and Networking - the key feature of this component is activities to link youths to experts, knowledge and other leveraging initiatives. In this component we offer young people access to our digital library as well as conduct face-face career talks in training centers. During this time we share the career content we generate as well those our partners send us. Starting next year 2012, Careermate will embark on a programme to assist schools especially those with problems accessing Internet, to create more digital educational libraries of DVDs.\r\n\r\nAnother interesting feature of this component is the learning exchange. Here we are trying to facilitate learning exchange programmes with other youths within and outside the country.\r\n\r\n3. Talent Development ; this component is concerned with assisting youths with talents to further develop their talents by offering them basic tools, facilities to practice. For instance, we offer our members access to music instruments to learn how to use them, or coaching and validation/contests on public speaking.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 103, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 141, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 600, "latitude": -17.82922, "longitude": 31.053961, "city": "Harare", "state": "Harare", "address_1": "76 Queen Elizabeth Road", "address_2": "", "postcode": "Greendale", "iati_country": "ZW", "country": 46, "location_target": 141 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/28/ab/28ab149fdb70c71201cf525d415faefc.jpg", "latitude": "-17.82922", "longitude": "31.053961", "city": "Harare", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2009-10-08T10:58:04+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:57:02.245445+01:00", "name": "Tree Africa", "long_name": "Tree Africa", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.treeafrica.org.uk/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+263 4 492157", "mobile": "+263 11408864", "fax": "+263 4 492147", "contact_person": "Charlene Hewat", "contact_email": "charlie@eafrica.utande.co.zw", "description": "Tree Africa is a registered NGO in UK and a programme of Environment Africa a registered NGO in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Malawi.
