Through service learning projects, U.S. schools raise funds necessary to complete water projects, thereby bringing water to their partner schools. These funds are matched dollar for dollar, magnifying the good done with every contribution.\r\n\r\nAnother outcome, as important as water funding to our mission, is for youth in U.S. schools to learn about and become invested in the global community, and to become activists for positive change.\r\n\r\nThe sustainability of these and other service projects depends on the next generation’s involvement. We need to provide opportunities for students to make a difference, and H2O for Life exists to do just that.\r\n\r\nGlobal projects are identified and facilitated through cooperating Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s). To date, Save the Children, Water Centric, Student Movement for Real Change, El Porvenir, and Catholic Relief Service have partnered with H20 for Life and match funds raised by individual schools.\r\n\r\nUnited States schools select a project and then work during the school year to reach their fundraising goals. During the year, teachers and students may choose to communicate with students in the project community via letters or pictures.\r\n\r\nIf you’re a U.S. teacher, school administrator, or engaged parent and think students in your community might be able to help, learn how to Partner With a School.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 268, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2670, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3634, "latitude": 40.749869, "longitude": -73.971128, "city": "New York", "state": "", "address_1": "320 East 43rd Street", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "NG", "country": 5, "location_target": 2670 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/a4/c7/a4c7ff87dc2b4a29500958bcf042024e.jpg", "latitude": "40.749869", "longitude": "-73.971128", "city": "New York", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-02-27T10:20:38.546446+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-27T10:20:38.565246+01:00", "name": "Ford Foundation", "long_name": "Ford Foundation", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "bcqms3dxkpw", "url": "http://www.fordfoundation.org/regions/west-africa", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+1 212 573 5000", "mobile": "", "fax": "+1 212 351 3677", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "office-of-communications@fordfoundation.org", "description": "We are on the frontlines of social change around the world, working with visionary leaders and organizations to change social structures and institutions—so that everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential and have a voice in decisions that affect them.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3634, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2671, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3635, "latitude": 4.835979, "longitude": 7.032135, "city": "Port Harcourt", "state": "", "address_1": "167 Aba Road", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "NG", "country": 20, "location_target": 2671 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/f9/c3/f9c35cfc26bcf8aff94ec370e12a9a6e.jpg", "latitude": "4.835979", "longitude": "7.032135", "city": "Port Harcourt", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-02-27T10:20:41.761287+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-27T10:20:41.789899+01:00", "name": "NDDC", "long_name": "Niger Delta Development Commission", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "G", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "tayem0ucfqq", "url": "http://www.nddc.gov.ng/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "2.34704E+12", "mobile": "2.34808E+12", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "info@nddc.gov.ng", "description": "NDDC was established in 2000 with the mission of facilitating the rapid, even and sustainable development of the Niger Delta into a region that is economically prosperous, socially stable, ecologically regenerative and politically peaceful.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3635, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2672, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3636, "latitude": 5.505732, "longitude": 7.037441, "city": "Owerri", "state": "", "address_1": "Plot 65 Okigwe Road, Owerri 460222, P.O Box 3543 Imo State. In Populorum Progressio, the 1967 Encyclical in which he set up the pontifical Justice, Development and Peace Commission, Pope Paul VI, declared the concern of the church with the development of peoples. This concern was particularly with “the development of those peoples who are striving to escape from hunger, misery, endemic diseases, and ignorance; of those who are looking for a wider share in the benefits of civilization and a more active improvement of their human qualities; of those who are aiming purposefully at their complete fulfilment.” He charged the commission with the task of “bringing to the whole of God’s People the full knowledge of the part expected of them at the present time, so as to further the progress of poorer peoples, to encourage social justice among nations, to offer to less developed nations the means whereby they can further their own progress.”\nThe JDPC Ijebu-Ode is an organisational manifestation of this concern of the church’s. We work to name and address the evils of our time in line with the life and teaching of Christ, to bring to the oppressed and the suffering the concrete reality of the love of Christ, to practice the love of Christ beyond the mere preaching of it. Our work in respect of poverty, human development, democracy, and human rights draws directly upon the Church’s call for a charitable response by the people of God to the cry of the poor, the injured, and the vulnerable. Poverty – and the hunger, ignorance, disease, and fear that are its manifestations – desecrate the God-given dignity of human beings and deny them the full flowering of their potential as beings in the image of God the Creator Himself. Injustice and human rights violation also contribute to this dehumanisation while, in addition, generating in their own capacity social antagonisms and conflict within the society, thus endangering peace and security and making more difficult the task of ensuring social conditions that enable people to live in dignity.\nPope Paul VI identified these conditions clearly in describing the simple desires of the oppressed of the world: “Freedom from misery, the greater assurance of finding subsistence, health and fixed employment; an increased share of responsibility without oppression of any kind and in security from situations that do violence to their dignity as men; better education – in brief, to seek to do more, know more and have more in order to be more: that is what men aspire to now when a greater number of them are condemned to live in conditions that make this lawful desire illusory.”The work of JDPC Ijebu-Ode is to help bring these conditions to reality.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3642, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2679, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3643, "latitude": 9.066667, "longitude": 7.483333, "city": "Abuja", "state": "", "address_1": "102 Yakubu Gowon Crescent Opposite ECOWAS Secretariat", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "NG", "country": 20, "location_target": 2679 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/77/12/7712f144c840de9e3c01bd4f8e30834a.jpg", "latitude": "9.066667", "longitude": "7.483333", "city": "Abuja", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-02-27T11:19:12.514339+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-08-06T11:57:22.711547+02:00", "name": "World Bank (4)", "long_name": "World Bank (4)", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "icwoprujsxa", "url": "http://www.worldbank.org/en/country/nigeria", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "-1693", "mobile": "-1693", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Obadiah Tohomdet", "contact_email": "otohomdet@worldbank.org", "description": "The world bank group has two ambitious goals; to end poverty within a generation and to boost shares prosperity.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3643, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2680, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3644, "latitude": 7.410505, "longitude": 3.915185, "city": "Ibadan", "state": "", "address_1": "ARFH HOUSE Plot 815A Agodi G.R.A. Together with local organisations in developing countries, Hivos strives for a world in which all citizens – both men and women – have equal access to resources and opportunities for development.\r\nHivos is a Dutch non-governmental organisation guided by humanist values. A number of its core values are human dignity and self determination, an aversion to dogmas and totalitarian regimes, and a sense of mutual solidarity. The organisation is committed to poor and marginalised peoples in Africa, Asia and Latin America. It strives for the long-term improvement of their circumstances and for the empowerment of women in particular.\r\n\r\nThe work of Hivos aims at structurally alleviating poverty, with an emphasis on civil society building and on sustainable economic development. The efforts of Hivos are focused on nine themes: financial services and business development; sustainable production; human rights and democratisation; HIV/AIDS; gender, women and development; art and culture; ICT & media; advocacy and communication; and the knowledge programme. You can read more about each one of these themes on this website.\r\n\r\nJoining forces and pooling resources is crucial to achieve the objectives of Hivos. Hivos supports over 800 partner organisations in more than 30 countries through financial means and institutional support as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience. In addition, Hivos works together with a number of organisations, companies and governments in the Netherlands and Europe, and it belongs to various national and international networks. Hivos also conducts advocacy activities itself in the Netherlands, throughout Europe and worldwide.\r\n\r\nHivos is a non-governmental organisation with a societal goal which plays a public role. Hivos is one of the four largest organisations in the ‘co-financing system’ of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Dutch general public, the Dutch government, other sponsors, partners and partner organisations in developing countries are the most important stakeholders.\r\n\r\nHivos is ISO certified; it has the CBF quality mark and is one of the beneficiaries of the Dutch National Postcode Lottery.", "notes": "Duplicate 1398 deleted", "can_create_projects": true, "enforce_program_projects": false, We work to improve the health and socio-economic welfare of young people and their guardians in Imo State, South-eastern Nigeria. Since 2001, CYDI has been working with other stakeholders to serve its clients where they live, work, and learn. At each location, we conduct activities tailored to the needs of that group. We do not reinvent the wheel, but work with existing groups and their structures to integrate home-grown and international development solutions. We also operate Oby Resource Centre, which provides services to complement our community outreach and programme support services.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3913, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2694, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3914, "latitude": 9.040717, "longitude": 7.477523, "city": "Abuja", "state": "", "address_1": "PEPFAR Coordination Office 1075 Diplomatic Drive Central Area", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "NG", "country": 20, "location_target": 2694 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/a1/e7/a1e7aa48dc12269e9b65db4a144ff490.jpg", "latitude": "9.040717", "longitude": "7.477523", "city": "Abuja", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-04-02T11:37:54.857809+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-04-02T11:37:54.925543+02:00", "name": "PEPFAR", "long_name": "Presidents Emergency Plan for Aids Relief", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "G", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "rcandcpcqts", "url": "http://nigeria.usembassy.gov/pepfar.html", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "09-461-4196", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "", "description": "Since its inception in Nigeria in 2004, PEPFAR has disbursed more than 3.4 billion U.S. dollars (more than 544 billion Naira!) to support the Nigeria HIV/AIDS response.\nSome measures of success include over 600,000 men, women and children currently on HIV treatment and the 480,000 people we have reached with HIV prevention messages and activities.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3914, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2695, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3915, "latitude": 9.063901, "longitude": 7.465183, "city": "Abuja", "state": "", "address_1": "P.O.Box 5142 Wuse", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "NG", "country": 20, "location_target": 2695 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/5e/73/5e73b574d840d182ba04e9e1516244f1.jpg", "latitude": "9.063901", "longitude": "7.465183", "city": "Abuja", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-04-02T11:37:55.504982+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-04-02T11:37:55.530301+02:00", "name": "FES Nigeria", "long_name": "Friedrich Ebert Stitung", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "izzf3z4orjg", "url": "http://www.fes-nigeria.org/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "+234 803 899 8708", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Seija Sturies", "contact_email": "info@fes-nigeria.org", "description": "The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a private, non-profit organisation committed to the values of Social Democracy.
