"description": "Family Planning Association of Bangladesh (FPAB) was established in 1953 under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Humaira Sayeed the founding president of the Association. The Association is governed by a National Executive committee consisting of 21 Members. National luminaries like late Alamgir M. A. Kabir, late Professor Dr. Md. Ibrahim, late Dr. (Captain) Abul Kashem, late Dr. Syed A K M Hafizur Rahman, Mr. M Shamsul Islam, Shaheed Md. Maizuddin, Kazi Anisur Rahman and other eminent personalities led FPAB since its inception.\r\n\r\nThe prime objective which inspired the establishment of the Association was to improve quality of life of the under privileged section of the people by advocating family planning as a basic human right and motivating people towards the concept of small family.\r\n\r\nMission:\r\nFPAB aims to improve the quality of lives of individuals, by campaigning for sexual health and reproductive right through advocacy and services, especially for poor and vulnerable people.\r\nFPAB defends the right of all young people to enjoy their sexual lives free from ill-health, unwanted pregnancy, violence and discrimination.\r\nFPAB supports a woman's right to choose to termite her pregnancy legally and safely.\r\nFPAB strives to eliminate Sexually Transmitted Infections and to eradicate HIV-AIDS, and FPAB carries its work in partnership with other organizations and donors to achieve our goals more efficiently and effectively.\r\n\r\nAs an affiliate of International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), FPAB is the oldest and largest family planning non-government organization in Bangladesh, which pioneered family planning movement in the country. FPAB played an important role in formulating national family planning programme introduced by the then government of Pakistan in 1965. With the span of more than 50 years of its emergence, FPAB has made a significant achievement in creating awareness among the eligible couples about family planning and annually contributes 7% of the total national family planning performance. In conformity with the global and national needs, FPAB shifted its thrust from lone family planning interventions to the holistic approach of reproductive health in mid 90s of the last century. Instead of targeting fertile couples, interventions of FPAB now involve men and women of all ages with special focus on the disadvantaged segment of the population. Beneficiaries of FPAB have now exceeded ten million people. ",

Our work helps to effect the regulatory and structural changes needed for broad water and sanitation sector reform.\r\n \r\nOur challenge is to replicate successful approaches, continue targeted learning efforts, and support reforms that ensure the adoption of sustainable investments in the sector that help people rise from poverty.",

Freedom, mutual respect and equality between partners are important factors in this. The subject of sex and sexuality must be freed from discrimination, stigmatism and prejudice. Being able to make your own choices about your life and your body is a universal human right!\r\n\r\nCHOICE is run by an enthusiastic and ambitious team of young professionals, all aged between 16 and 28. Our youth advocates dedicate their time, energy and expertise on a voluntary basis, supported by a small team of office staff and our Board. ",

"description": "Water Access\r\nLiving Water has been working in the area of water provision for 22 years, and it continues to be a cornerstone of our work in every country we operate in. Water access is about more than just installing water systems. It’s about installing the right systems, which might mean water wells, rainwater harvesting, protected springs, or something else entirely. And it’s about helping whole communities and regions have enough safe, accessible, reliable water to significantly improve the lives of the people who live there.\r\n\r\nSanitation\r\nIn places where there is no safe, clean place to go to the toilet, people struggle with disease, lack of privacy, and indignity. Once communities have access to safe, sustainable water, they can improve their sanitation, dramatically raising their quality of life—improving health, increasing school achievement, and multiplying productivity. In many areas, Living Water helps community members develop plans for sanitation that result in clean, functional latrines in homes, schools, clinics, and churches.\r\n\r\nHygiene Promotion\r\nSafe water and sanitation systems are important, but to have an impact, people need to use them effectively to improve their health. Education is important—helping people understand how to prevent diseases by washing their hands, storing their water properly, and using a latrine. But head knowledge is just the beginning; helping communities identify important behaviors and make their own plan to use them is the end goal.\r\n\r\nChristian Witness\r\nOur concern is for whole people—physical and spiritual. As followers of Jesus, we know that he has the power to transform people, restore relationships, and heal factors that lead to poverty, hunger, and thirst. We work with local churches wherever we find them, identify ways we can be part of what God is already doing, and share the good news about Jesus in simple ways—like telling stories and asking questions.\r\n\r\nSustainability\r\nFor all of these things to be effective for the long term, we have to involve the community from the very beginning. We’re learning alongside the communities we serve that projects are most sustainable when they respond to both need and demand, when financing is carefully thought through, and when management is handled locally with lots of ongoing support.",

These accomplishments have provided 4,300 people access to clean water on a daily basis. As additional positive results of Aguayuda’s efforts, a local community built nineteen new homes and one of Aguayuda’s water committee members established a non-profit organization that installs, repairs and maintains windmills. Lastly, Aguayuda has non-profit organizations supporting Aguayuda’s mission in Germany and in Colombia.\r\n\r\nThrough these valuable experiences, Aguayuda has developed sustainable and practical solutions. Thanks to the hard work and continued generous support from a diverse group of people and organizations worldwide, Aguayuda continues to improve the health and lives of impoverished people worldwide.",

Its purpose is to develop initiatives aimed at reversing the process of desertification and the restoration of collapsing ecosystems. Naga builds on decades of field experience of its founders and has the ambition to inspire the whole world to take matters to hand and to start re-greening and restoring ecosystems as a basis for sustainable economic life.\r\n\r\nThe name of Naga was chosen because of its ancient meaning. In many parts of South East Asia and to some extent on the African continent, the NAGA are known as “the bringers of rain and guardians of water”.\r\n\r\nNaga’s has defined its vision and mission as follows:\r\n\r\nVision: A healthy green planet that will contribute to and sustain a healthy\r\nliveable world for everyone.\r\n\r\nMission: To promote and execute projects aimed at re-greening of desertified land in order to create a sustainable and prosperous world.",

A combination of experience in delivering successful village projects and producing high quality consumer products enables us to offer innovative and cost-effective solutions in both markets.\r\n\r\nQuaWater was incorporated in South Africa in 2003 and is run by a team of dedicated people with backgrounds in science, water analysis, medical practice, business, engineering, and design. Our head office is located in Pretoria and we have regional representations in Kenya, Mozambique and Sudan. \r\n\r\nQuaWater aims to deliver healthy drinking water at fair prices, encouraging users to ensure themselves of the quality of this most vital necessity, while promoting solutions for maintenance and cost-recovery.\r\n\r\nThe QuaWater Village SolutionTM is a stand-alone system for providing multi-purpose water treatment for small settlements and villages. It uses a combination of proven technologies to purify contaminated ground or surface water and supply safe drinking water for the people. Depending on local needs other features, like utility water for washing or water for cattle and irrigation can be added. QuaWater implements the Village Solution as turn key projects jointly with the local population and/or local partners such as non-governmental organizations, community based organizations, businesses and governments. The projects can be offered as public-private partnerships. QuaWater actively involves community members in decision making and management of the project. Managers are appointed from the local population and trained for operating and maintaining the unit.\r\n\r\n",

"description": "The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) conserves and manages Kenya’s wildlife for the Kenyan people and the world. It is a state corporation established by an Act of Parliament Cap 376 with the mandate to conserve and manage wildlife in Kenya, and to enforce related laws and regulations.\r\n\r\nThe challenges facing wildlife and biodiversity conservation in Kenya are many and varied. They include climate change, habitat degradation and loss, forest depletion, tourism market volatility, human wildlife conflict brought on by population growth and changing land use habits of communities that co-exist with wildlife as well as wildlife crime.\r\n\r\nTo tackle these issues, we employ a multi-pronged approach and strategies and engage different interest groups, stakeholders and partners.\r\n\r\nKWS undertakes conservation and management of wildlife resources outside protected areas in collaboration with stakeholders. It is our goal to work with others to conserve, protect and sustainably manage wildlife resources. The community wildlife program of KWS in collaboration with others encourages biodiversity conservation by communities living on land essential to wildlife, such as wildlife corridors and dispersal lands outside parks and reserves. The premise is that \"if people benefit from wildlife and other natural resources, then they will take care of these resources.\"\r\n\r\nOur Vision\r\n\"To save the last great species and places on earth for humanity”\r\n\r\nOur Mission\r\n“To sustainably conserve, manage, and enhance Kenya's wildlife, its habitats, and provide a wide range of public uses in collaboration with stakeholders for posterity”",
