This hospital was established in 1907, by the Baptist Missionary Society, U.K. It started as a small health centre, initially providing clinic based primary health care and slowly grew into the main referral centre for the whole of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) and also part of neighbouring upazilas of Chittagong District. CHC has been working in both curative and preventive health, and has been rewarded by strong confidence and acceptance of its service from the whole population of CHT especially the tribal groups. The hospital is fully-staffed and has a new hospital building, which includes all basic and essential medical, surgical, obstetric and paediatric facilities.",

"description": "Catholic Health Commission, is an arm of the Catholic Church under the Diocese of Chikwawa. The Health Commission operates under the guidance of The Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM), which is the highest policy making Council of Bishops responsible for the running and management of pastoral and social teaching of the Catholic Church in Malawi. The Health Commission operates within the field of HBC in terms of HIV prevention, care and support interventions based on the principles developed under the umbrella of ECM Home Based Care projects. Its vision is to have a healthy Society that is able to access improved and affordable Health Services. It identifies itself by a mission which is continuation of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ through promotion of human life by coordinating and providing affordable Health Services to rural and urban areas in Malawi. As such Health Commission is also responsible for facilitating and monitoring the quality of Health services in the diocese. The Commission works with Community Based Organisations (CBO) to reach out to the needy people in various communities within its parishes. Consequently, the implementation of interventions in HBC depends greatly on the role played by community volunteers that are closely working with the immediate caregivers. Therefore, the support the church is providing to the community groups has helped and encouraged communities to respond positively in caring and supporting the HBC clients within the respective communities. During the last three years with support from Cordaid, the Commission has a record of success stories in issues of mobilisation of community volunteers such that it has created a good network of volunteers and the health facilities within its catchment areas. It has also strengthened the community structures hence making the HBC groups sustainable.",

Freedom, mutual respect and equality between partners are important factors in this. The subject of sex and sexuality must be freed from discrimination, stigmatism and prejudice. Being able to make your own choices about your life and your body is a universal human right!\r\n\r\nCHOICE is run by an enthusiastic and ambitious team of young professionals, all aged between 16 and 28. Our youth advocates dedicate their time, energy and expertise on a voluntary basis, supported by a small team of office staff and our Board. ",

"description": "The Consórcio Intermunicipal Lagos - São João (CILSJ) is a inter-municipal non-profit watershed-based environmental agency established in 1999. For over 3 years, the CILSJ has been working with municipalities, Rio de Janeiro State and Federal governments, companies and local communities to ensure the conservation, restoration and responsible management of our water, land, sea and biodiversity through programs that balance human, environmental and economic needs. CILSJ is comitted to improving environment for the present and next generations.\r\n\r\nSimilarly to Conservation Autorities in Canada and USA, our organization operates under the direction of a board comprised of local municipalities, companies, NGOs (Non Governamental Organizations) and the Environmental State Secretariat of Rio de Janeiro representatives. There are currently 12 municipalities (Armação dos Búzios, Araruama, Arraial do Cabo, Cabo Frio, Cachoeiras de Macacú, Casimiro de Abreu, Iguaba Grande, Rio Bonito, Rio das Ostras, São Pedro da Aldeia, Saquarema and Silva Jardim), 5 companies and more than fifty NGOs which are part of our organization. The NGOs have two representatives on the Board.\r\n\r\nThe CILSJ is not a regulatory or licensing organization, and has no legal or policy basis to regulate resource use in any of the jurisdictions. However, the CILSJ may influence regulatory decisions in a number of ways: \r\n\r\n· By providing factual material, such as aquatic ecosystem reports, to inform development decision makers.\r\n· By participating in and influencing pre or post regulatory processes, such as planning, regional or environmental impact assessment processes;\r\n· Managing the water resources in a manner consistent with the maintenance of the ecological integrity of the aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems; \r\n· Managing the use of the water resources in a sustainable manner for present and future generations;\r\n· Providing for early and effective consultation, notification and sharing of information on developments and activities that might affect the ecological integrity of the aquatic ecosystem;",

"description": "The world’s oldest LGBTI organisation in existence, COC Netherlands was established in 1946 as a way to bring gay people in contact with each other and facilitate the emergence of a sense of community amidst the early post-War years’ homophobia. Sixty-five years later, it has grown into a politically outspoken and influential national federation of over twenty local chapters and is widely regarded as a torch-bearer of LGBTI emancipation both in the Netherlands and abroad. Domestically, COC is (co)responsible for the establishment of equal age of consent for gay and straight sexual activity and the introduction of comprehensive antidiscrimination legislation and the various laws, policies and arrangements that make the Netherlands the world’s most LGBTI-friendly country to live in [© Radio Netherlands Worldwide, September 2011]. The organisations’ headquarters is based in Amsterdam and employs a full-time professional staff of twenty-five. In 2010, the annual turnover was an estimated €4,8 million, with international projects constituting about 43% of the total budget.",

"description": "Center for Regeneration and Empowerment of Africa Through Africa (CREATA) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2006.\r\n\r\nCREATA is about peace and transformational development; we strive to bring Kenyans to a common ground to end violent conflicts by addressing the structural injustices through sports as a catalyst for development, promoting peace, good governance and education targeting children, young people, women and marginalized communities. \r\n\r\nSince it was founded CREATA has found a niche in using sports as a tool for community transformation and catalyst for development. Through sports CREATA has been running two main programs namely; Sports for Development Program, Peace and Governance Program. This year, CREATA is rolling out Football for WASH (F4WASH) program in 60 primary schools in Migori County – a four year program funded by KNVB and UNICEF. \r\n\r\nSports for Development program started as voluntary process where communities were mobilized though football to address the issues of education in Uriri in Migori County. Through the junior sports clubs created, parents came together to form savings associations. Through this savings scheme parents are able to save money for thier children’s school fees, as the organisation boosts their savings through matching funds. Currently we have turnover of about USD 100 per month. In the first year of operating this fund (2012) CREATA was able to fully sponsor 3 children in high school. We are however hoping that this turnover is going to increase and pay for more students. CREATA has establishing 50 sports clubs and about 5 active parents associations. \r\n\r\nIn our Peace and Governance program, CREATA with the funding of IFP Kenya has recently carried out a baseline survey of the knowledge gaps in the communities about the new constitutions and is currently rolling out community training, awareness and forums on the contents of the new constitution. In this project, coaches and sports clubs are the main ambassadors of the message, principles and spirit of the new constitution. \r\n\r\nVision: \r\nCREATA envisages a peaceful, transformed society and a just world where the integrity of creation and human dignity are the pillars for sustainable development. \r\n\r\nMission:\r\nOur aim is to enhance peace, education, human solidarity using sports as a catalyst for community transformation and development.
