Governance of the Trust is through a Board of Trustees, which normally meets four times per year. Other activities of the Trust are advised by an Ethics Committee, an Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors of the CPAT HER Charitable Trust. CPAT submits publicly-accessible annual accounts to the Charities Commission, and files returns to Companies House. The Strategic Plan for 2010-2015 emphasizes disaster risk reduction, strengthens emergency response and prevention, and aims to help create sustainable livelihoods for 150,000 households in extreme poverty.\r\n\r\nCARE Niger assumes the role of the National Lead Organization (NLO) for the DRYDEV programme in Niger. It has operated in Niger for 40 years covering six regions (Diffa, Zinder, Maradi, Tahoua, Niamey, Tillaberi). CARE Niger has significant experience in community development, including in the areas of food security, climate change, nutrition, women’s empowerment, Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), NRM, humanitarian‐relief, advocacy, and civil society development. It also has significant experience in coordinating consortiums both nationally and regionally.
