It uses a combination of proven technologies to purify contaminated ground or surface water and supply safe drinking water for the people. Depending on local needs other features, like utility water for washing or water for cattle and irrigation can be added. QuaWater implements the Village Solution as turn key projects jointly with the local population and/or local partners such as non-governmental organizations, community based organizations, businesses and governments. The projects can be offered as public-private partnerships. QuaWater actively involves community members in decision making and management of the project. These partnerships allow all people involved to grow their talents and enable individuals and communities to create a better future for themselves.\r\n\r\nSEE stands for Social and Economical Empowerment. Trust stands for a business trust, and also for trusting: trusting people and their abilities, trusting the creative potential of partnerships.\r\n\r\nWomen entrepreneurship:\r\n\r\nWomen are major players in social development, because of their natural tendency to focus on the well-being of children and communities as a whole. In poor communities where children are very vulnerable and family-structures are fragile (because of the Aids epidemic, high unemployment and substance abuse), that focus is much needed.\r\n\r\nOur aim is to establish partnerships between entrepreneurial women in South Africa and the Netherlands. The Health Commission operates under the guidance of The Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM), which is the highest policy making Council of Bishops responsible for the running and management of pastoral and social teaching of the Catholic Church in Malawi. The Health Commission operates within the field of HBC in terms of HIV prevention, care and support interventions based on the principles developed under the umbrella of ECM Home Based Care projects. Its vision is to have a healthy Society that is able to access improved and affordable Health Services. It identifies itself by a mission which is continuation of the healing ministry of Jesus Christ through promotion of human life by coordinating and providing affordable Health Services to rural and urban areas in Malawi. As such Health Commission is also responsible for facilitating and monitoring the quality of Health services in the diocese. The Commission works with Community Based Organisations (CBO) to reach out to the needy people in various communities within its parishes. Consequently, the implementation of interventions in HBC depends greatly on the role played by community volunteers that are closely working with the immediate caregivers. Therefore, the support the church is providing to the community groups has helped and encouraged communities to respond positively in caring and supporting the HBC clients within the respective communities. During the last three years with support from Cordaid, the Commission has a record of success stories in issues of mobilisation of community volunteers such that it has created a good network of volunteers and the health facilities within its catchment areas. From the onset, it should be acknowledged, therefore, that our Church owes a lot to the Church of Scotland from who we have drawn our historical legacy as well as administrative identity. \r\n\r\nResponding to a divine call and influenced by the love of Christ and His grace, these Scottish pioneers approached evangelism holistically. The passionate belief was that the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ would be void in the absence of a deliberate approach towards providing for people’s social needs simultaneously. This is why, besides the Bible and training of church ministers, they came to establish and operate hospitals, schools and colleges as well as providing safe water and electricity to mention but only some of the services. \r\n\r\nThe Church has over the years maintained that approach with a lot happening around propagation of the Gospel, many ministers being trained and a number of congregations and departments being established among other developmental programmes and projects. All this is meant to cater for the social-economic needs of the church’s population besides the preaching of the Good News.
