"description": "Support Trust for African Developments (STAD) is a continuation of Sudanese Orphans Support Trust (SOST) founded by a group of Southern Sudanese who came to study and/or sought asylum in the Netherlands.\r\n\r\nIts main founding goal was to support education of Sudanese refugee orphans in vocational training. STAD strives to support the education of orphans, following the famous Chinese saying “ feed a hungry man today, he will be hungry; teach him how to fish, he can have food tomorrow; educate his child(ren), you have given him a future”. Orphanage was its main area of concern because of the seemingly endless civil war (1983- 2005) between South Sudan and Sudan which claimed over 2 million lives. HIV/AIDS equally claimed many lives of adults resulting to a fast growing number of orphans with an enormous impact on people living with it.",

We create, strengthen and expand opportunities for girls and women in Bangladesh. We believe that if girls and women are given the opportunities to fully realize their potentials, they will be the main solutions to the poverty, maternal & neo-born mortalities and gender based violence. PHREB works with, for and on behalf of girls and women to realize the fully sexual and reproductive health and rights for women in Bangladesh. \r\n\r\nFounded in 2004, PHREB works in Chittagong Hill Tracts, Chittagong Metropolitan City, Moheshkhali Island sub-district, Kutubdia Island sub-district and Cox's Bazar Sadar sub-district. \r\n\r\nWe work in partnership with Cordaid in the Netherlands, Kios in Finland and Swedish Amnesty Fund in Sweden. We began our work in 2005 with the financial support from ICCO in the Netherlands. \r\n\r\nCurrently, we have 32 full time staff and 109 teachers and 7 volunteers.\r\n\r\nBKAF is the largest alliance of adolescent girls in Bangladesh with more than half a million members and supporters. PHREB initiatated BKAF in 2005 with an aim to empower adolescent girls to speak out, demand and access their human rights by improving their self-esteem, life-skills and leadership and focusing on the issues of sexual and reprodutive health and rights and violence against girls and women. "description": "Every day 4.500 children die as a result due to a shortage of clean drinking water. This while at the same time in other parts of the world clean drinking water is used to do the dishes and to flush the toilet. More than a billion people do not have access to clean drinking water and as a result of this 3,5 million people worldwide die every year. Jointhepipe.org, an internationally oriented foundation, wants to do something about this! Our goal is to build the longest water pipe in the world. Long enough to bring clean and safe drinking water to all of those people who currently have no drinking water.\r\nThe construction of water projects in Third World countries is being financed through the sale of our unique, hip and sustainable Jointhepipe.org water carafes and water bottles. Bottled water that is being imported from European countries is responsible for a great deal of CO2 emissions and is, on top of that, 400 to 3000 times more expensive than tap water. And that while The Netherlands have the best drinking water in Europe, that is what tests performed by the European Commission have shown. \r\nJointhepipe.org wants to promote the most sustainable water there is: tap water. We therefore designed a series of carafes and water bottles that can be filled with tap water. This way it is no longer necessary to purchase those polluting plastic throw-away bottles in the future. The profit of every carafe or bottle sold is being donated to one of our many water projects in Third World countries. So, drink only tap water from now on. Not only is it good for the environment and your wallet, but you can help us with our dream to bring safe drinking water to all those currently without. www.jointhepipe.org\r\n",
