We became aware of many projects, particularly outside of the Western Europe, where conservation and heritage skills were needed but people could not access or afford them. We also knew of recent graduates and heritage professionals who were keen to help but had no means of getting involved.\r\nHWB volunteers gain valuable experience in working in challenging situations, building capacity and also networking with fellow heritage professionals from different parts of the world. HWB constantly broadens its activities through working with museums, historic buildings and collections and archaeological sites internationally. Removing the barrier of ‘cost’, HWB aims to help alleviate poverty through the improvement of heritage provision.\r\nHeritage Without Borders already completed several successful projects in different regions of the world and held training in London for heritage specialists from Middle East. \r\nOur work is primarily funded through grants and donations. HWB is a registered charity in the UK. We believe that effective training and two-way interactions between heritage professionals and local communities can result in practical solutions to keep our past alive. Mostly discouragingly, children became vulnerable, lost their childhood right of protection and care and were forced to either join the fighting forces or roam the streets in search of protection and security. Consequently, their future became bleak and hopeless. It is against this background that the vision to establish an organization to cater to the holistic needs of the children was seen. Hence, on August 16, 2003, this vision was born and a Board of Directors comprising of seven persons was formed to provide support and guidance in the implementation of the organization’s vision.\r\n\r\nSince 2003 to date ECREP has been providing humanitarian services in most parts of Liberia involving rehabilitation, reconstruction and development services benefiting more than 100,000 men, women and children in nine of the fifteen political sub-divisions of Liberia; namely, Montserrado, Grand Gedeh, Grand Bassa, Grand cape Mount, Margi, Rivercess, Maryland, Sinoe and Nimba Counties.\r\n\r\nVision: ECREP envisages a peaceful, safe and healthy environment where high qualities of life for the children are exhibited.\r\n\r\nMission: To help alleviate and respond to the causes of an unsafe and unhealthy environment for the children, thereby creating an avenue where their basic needs are met.\r\n\r\nCore Value: Love, Accountability, justice, Indiscrimination and Environmental protection\r\n\r\nMotto: ‘’ Rescuing the children’’\r\n\r\nBoard of Directors\r\nThe program has a Board of Directors comprising of seven (7) persons. The Chairman of the Board of Directors has the direct oversight responsibility to work with the management team in implementing the vision and mission of the organization.\r\n\r\nManagement Team\r\nThe management Team comprises of the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director who run the affairs of the program. The Board was established in March 1957 – on the eve of Ghana’s independence - as a result of the merger of the then interim Council of the National Museum of the Gold Coast and the Monuments and Relics Commission. The GMMB is governed by the National Liberation Council Decree (NLCD) 387 of 1969, now known as Act 387 of 1969, which was further strengthened by the Executive Instrument (E.I.) 29 of 1973.\r\n\r\nThe history of GMMB can be traced to the establishment of an Ethnographic Museum at Achimota College in 1929. That museum was transferred to the Department of Archaeology at the University of the Gold Coast, when the university was created in 1948. \r\nIn 1952, there was the awareness of the need to conserve the past. The British Colonial government then put in place an ‘Interim Council of the National Museum of the Gold Coast’ to facilitate the creation of a national museum.\r\n\r\nThe Interim Council of the National Museum of the Gold Coast and the Monuments and Relics Commission merged, and this led to the passing of the Museum and Monuments Board Ordinance (GOLD COAST No. 20 of 1957), which established the GMMB.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 5066, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 4274, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 5645, "latitude": -6.818711, "longitude": 39.289539, "city": "", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "TZ", "country": null, "location_target": 4274 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/ae/78/ae7842ef1c4ed86b9168d3c5f3d7b7f2.jpg", "latitude": "-6.818711", "longitude": "39.289539", "city": "", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2017-06-04T15:56:36.414004+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2017-06-06T10:12:00.103302+02:00", "name": "IWaSP", "long_name": "International Water Stewardship Programme", "language": "en", "organisation_type": null, "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 21, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.iwasp.org/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Fridtjof Behnsen", "contact_email": "Fridtjof.Behnsen@giz.de", "description": "IWaSP’s vision is to provide powerful solutions for water security, while its mission is to inspire joint action.\r\n\r\nIWaSP is an international water security programme which combines global best practices in water stewardship with local know-how.
