In Populorum Progressio, the 1967 Encyclical in which he set up the pontifical Justice, Development and Peace Commission, Pope Paul VI, declared the concern of the church with the development of peoples. This concern was particularly with “the development of those peoples who are striving to escape from hunger, misery, endemic diseases, and ignorance; of those who are looking for a wider share in the benefits of civilization and a more active improvement of their human qualities; of those who are aiming purposefully at their complete fulfilment.” He charged the commission with the task of “bringing to the whole of God’s People the full knowledge of the part expected of them at the present time, so as to further the progress of poorer peoples, to encourage social justice among nations, to offer to less developed nations the means whereby they can further their own progress.”
The JDPC Ijebu-Ode is an organisational manifestation of this concern of the church’s. We work to name and address the evils of our time in line with the life and teaching of Christ, to bring to the oppressed and the suffering the concrete reality of the love of Christ, to practice the love of Christ beyond the mere preaching of it. Our work in respect of poverty, human development, democracy, and human rights draws directly upon the Church’s call for a charitable response by the people of God to the cry of the poor, the injured, and the vulnerable. Poverty – and the hunger, ignorance, disease, and fear that are its manifestations – desecrate the God-given dignity of human beings and deny them the full flowering of their potential as beings in the image of God the Creator Himself. Injustice and human rights violation also contribute to this dehumanisation while, in addition, generating in their own capacity social antagonisms and conflict within the society, thus endangering peace and security and making more difficult the task of ensuring social conditions that enable people to live in dignity.
Pope Paul VI identified these conditions clearly in describing the simple desires of the oppressed of the world: “Freedom from misery, the greater assurance of finding subsistence, health and fixed employment; an increased share of responsibility without oppression of any kind and in security from situations that do violence to their dignity as men; better education – in brief, to seek to do more, know more and have more in order to be more: that is what men aspire to now when a greater number of them are condemned to live in conditions that make this lawful desire illusory.”The work of JDPC Ijebu-Ode is to help bring these conditions to reality.</description><notes></notes><can_create_projects>False</can_create_projects><enforce_program_projects>False</enforce_program_projects><use_project_roles>False</use_project_roles><public_iati_file>True</public_iati_file><enforce_2fa>False</enforce_2fa><can_become_reporting>False</can_become_reporting><iati_prefixes></iati_prefixes><primary_location>3642</primary_location><content_owner>2238</content_owner><original></original><password_policy></password_policy><codelist></codelist><internal_org_ids></internal_org_ids></list-item><list-item><id>1880</id><total_budgets></total_budgets><recipient_org_budgets></recipient_org_budgets><region_budgets></region_budgets><country_budgets></country_budgets><total_expenditures></total_expenditures><documents></documents><locations><list-item><id>1699</id><latitude>0.0</latitude><longitude>0.0</longitude><city></city><state></state><address_1></address_1><address_2></address_2><postcode></postcode><iati_country>NL</iati_country><country>3</country><location_target>1880</location_target></list-item></locations><logo>https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/10/47/104742e23043d5dca9bcc538e1700edd.jpg</logo><latitude>0.0</latitude><longitude>0.0</longitude><city></city><current_user_permissions><can_create_iati_export>False</can_create_iati_export><can_edit_iati_export>False</can_edit_iati_export></current_user_permissions><created_at>2014-01-28T00:00:00+01:00</created_at><last_modified_at>2016-03-08T09:27:05.106884+01:00</last_modified_at><name>JCI Nederland</name><long_name>JCI Nederland</long_name><language>en</language><organisation_type>N</organisation_type><currency>EUR</currency><new_organisation_type>60</new_organisation_type><iati_org_id></iati_org_id><url>http://www.jci.nl/</url><facebook></facebook><twitter></twitter><linkedin></linkedin><phone></phone><mobile></mobile><fax></fax><contact_person></contact_person><contact_email></contact_email><description>Junior Chamber International (JCI) is one of the biggest worldwide non-political and non-sectarian youth service organizations. We are a multidisciplinary institute that furthers experiment, research, study, production and exchange. In our institute promising artists, designers, thinkers and curators are given the time and space that is needed to develop their talents, to discover as yet unexplored perspectives and delve into deeper layers of their selves.
As of 2013 we have embarked on a new course, guided by our institutional compass. The rose of the compass is the comprehensive idea of porosity and fluidity; the four compass points encompass openness as well as connection, self-guidance as well as cooperation. In real terms, this means that the Van Eyck is a welcoming meeting-place where fluid connections exist between institute and surrounding world, between the various art disciplines and between the fields of art and science. The energy flows that are thus generated trigger myriad possibilities and bring the development of talent to a peak.

IWaSP is an international water security programme which combines global best practices in water stewardship with local know-how. The innovative six-year programme (2013-2018) facilitates partnerships between the public sector, the private sector and civil society. It addresses shared water risks on a catchment scale, while improving stakeholders’ use and management of water and building their capacity to develop their own solutions.

The programme is currently active in seven countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and South Africa on the African continent and Grenada and Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. IWaSP is receiving a growing demand and expansion into further countries is planned.

IWaSP enables partners to adopt a comprehensive and cost-effective approach to managing water risks for people, businesses and ecosystems. Typical results include pollution reduction, improved access to water, increased water storage, improved water infrastructure, rehabilitated ecosystems, strengthened water governance, improved catchment specific relationships of key actors and enhanced collaborative action.

IUCN NL is the Dutch national committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the world's oldest and largest global environmental organization. IUCN publishes the Red List of Threatened Species and is the only environmental organization with official UN Observer Status. IUCN unites more than 1,200 government and NGO members and almost 11,000 volunteer experts in some 160 countries.

Within the international IUCN umbrella organization, IUCN NL helps the world find pragmatic solutions to our most pressing environment and development challenges such as biodiversity loss, climate change and poverty. Nature is fundamental to addressing these problems. Natural capital is the foundation of our economy and our wellbeing. It provides us with food, clean water, fresh air, energy, medicine and a roof over our head. That is why the protection of biodiversity and ecosystems is at the heart of IUCN's mission.

IUCN currently has 38 Netherlands-based member organizations. In striving towards a sustainable future we work closely with these members and our network of companies, governments, southern NGOs and scientists, sharing knowledge and expertise, executing concrete projects and influencing the political agenda. We focus on three themes: green international cooperation, greening companies, and restoring and conserving nature.

As an autonomous entity within the Islamic Development Bank Group, the ITFC was formed to consolidate the trade finance business that was formerly undertaken by various windows within the IDB Group. The consolidation of the bank’s trade finance activities under a single umbrella increases the efficiency of service delivery by enabling rapid response to customer needs in a market-driven business environment.

As a leader in Shari’ah-compliant trade finance, we deploy our expertise and funds to businesses and governments in member countries of the OIC. Our primary focus is encouraging intra-trade among member countries, and we are active in developing and diversifying Islamic finance solutions to further trade. As an international financial service organization, we have a rigorous commitment to work with our clients in proactive, accountable and efficient ways.

As a member of the Islamic Development Bank Group, we have unique access to governments and work as a facilitator to mobilize private and public resources to achieve a measurable impact on trade and development. The ITFC helps businesses in Islamic countries gain better access to trade finance and provides them with the necessary education and training to compete successfully in the global marketplace. Our efforts are geared to building stronger trade relations between member countries and giving individuals opportunities to grow and prosper.

Respect for our Islamic heritage is at the heart of everything we do. We have a clear vision: to share and apply our intra trade skills – linking together people, partnerships and possibilities to make strong connections that empower, expand and enrich economies, communities and individuals. We are robust and responsible at our core but balance this with an energy and drive – seeking out new opportunities that enable the Islamic world to prosper.

The four cornerstones of our business – our customers, business partners, member countries and our products and services – provide a solid foundation on which we are building a promising and exciting future. Operating to world-class standards, the ITFC promotes the IDB Groups developmental objectives through its two main pillars, Trade Finance and Trade Promotion, to fulfill its brand promise of 'Advancing Trade &amp; Improving Lives'.</description><notes></notes><can_create_projects>False</can_create_projects><enforce_program_projects>False</enforce_program_projects><use_project_roles>False</use_project_roles><public_iati_file>True</public_iati_file><enforce_2fa>False</enforce_2fa><can_become_reporting>False</can_become_reporting><iati_prefixes></iati_prefixes><primary_location>321</primary_location><content_owner></content_owner><original></original><password_policy></password_policy><codelist></codelist><internal_org_ids></internal_org_ids></list-item><list-item><id>2140</id><total_budgets></total_budgets><recipient_org_budgets></recipient_org_budgets><region_budgets></region_budgets><country_budgets></country_budgets><total_expenditures></total_expenditures><documents></documents><locations><list-item><id>1970</id><latitude>52.223694</latitude><longitude>6.885806</longitude><city>Enschede</city><state></state><address_1>Hengelosestraat 99</address_1><address_2></address_2><postcode>7514 AE</postcode><iati_country>NL</iati_country><country>3</country><location_target>2140</location_target></list-item></locations><logo>https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/31/75/31752ef4d446625c1ae9c03e3f354718.jpg</logo><latitude>52.223694</latitude><longitude>6.885806</longitude><city>Enschede</city><current_user_permissions><can_create_iati_export>False</can_create_iati_export><can_edit_iati_export>False</can_edit_iati_export></current_user_permissions><created_at>2014-06-11T16:00:10+02:00</created_at><last_modified_at>2014-12-01T09:09:06+01:00</last_modified_at><name>Universiteit Twente - ITC</name><long_name>Universiteit Twente - ITC</long_name><language>en</language><organisation_type>K</organisation_type><currency>EUR</currency><new_organisation_type>80</new_organisation_type><iati_org_id></iati_org_id><url>http://www.itc.nl/</url><facebook></facebook><twitter></twitter><linkedin></linkedin><phone></phone><mobile></mobile><fax></fax><contact_person></contact_person><contact_email></contact_email><description>Faculty of geo-information science and earth observation.</description><notes></notes><can_create_projects>False</can_create_projects><enforce_program_projects>False</enforce_program_projects><use_project_roles>False</use_project_roles><public_iati_file>True</public_iati_file><enforce_2fa>False</enforce_2fa><can_become_reporting>False</can_become_reporting><iati_prefixes></iati_prefixes><primary_location>1970</primary_location><content_owner></content_owner><original></original><password_policy></password_policy><codelist></codelist><internal_org_ids></internal_org_ids></list-item><list-item><id>3405</id><total_budgets></total_budgets><recipient_org_budgets></recipient_org_budgets><region_budgets></region_budgets><country_budgets></country_budgets><total_expenditures></total_expenditures><documents></documents><locations><list-item><id>5210</id><latitude>-25.956603</latitude><longitude>32.595661</longitude><city></city><state></state><address_1>Av.

We consider sport an effective tool for development and peace as it provides a regulated and neutral context where emotions such as aggression, anger and sadness, but also joy and happiness can be expressed and reflected upon. It disregards geographical borders and is a universal language that people all over the world understand. Furthermore it is a cost-effective way to reach large audiences of active participants and non-participants.
In all our activities our overall objective is to improve the capacities and sustainability of local organisations that are located in marginalized and (post)conflict areas. We focus on the needs and requests from local Community Based Organisations (CBOs) and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that have a wish to initiate or improve sport for development and peace practices. Within our organisation we emphasize and promote the right for participation for all, regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, religion or handicap. Among the countries in which we are active are Burkina Faso, Mali, Indonesia, Kenya, Uganda, South-Sudan, Surinam and South Africa.

In order to use sports as a tool for development and peace it is imperative to develop, organise and structure projects and programmes in such a manner that the positive force of sports can be used. International Sports Alliance offers professional competences to develop and improve the works of sustainable sport for development projects and programmes. We offer academic and professional expertise on sports leadership, communication, project planning, organizational management, lobbying and education. Furthermore, we have an extended national and international network of partners, companies and organisations that support our partners with their expertise, and technical and financial support.</description><notes></notes><can_create_projects>False</can_create_projects><enforce_program_projects>False</enforce_program_projects><use_project_roles>False</use_project_roles><public_iati_file>True</public_iati_file><enforce_2fa>False</enforce_2fa><can_become_reporting>False</can_become_reporting><iati_prefixes></iati_prefixes><primary_location>843</primary_location><content_owner>937</content_owner><original></original><password_policy></password_policy><codelist></codelist><internal_org_ids></internal_org_ids></list-item><list-item><id>939</id><total_budgets></total_budgets><recipient_org_budgets></recipient_org_budgets><region_budgets></region_budgets><country_budgets></country_budgets><total_expenditures></total_expenditures><documents></documents><locations><list-item><id>846</id><latitude>51.721779</latitude><longitude>5.315815</longitude><city>’s-Hertogenbosch</city><state></state><address_1>Marathonloop 1</address_1><address_2></address_2><postcode>5235 AA</postcode><iati_country>NL</iati_country><country>3</country><location_target>939</location_target></list-item></locations><logo>https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/84/d7/84d7f2de423f814aa450ed646d9620c1.jpg</logo><latitude>51.721779</latitude><longitude>5.315815</longitude><city>’s-Hertogenbosch</city><current_user_permissions><can_create_iati_export>False</can_create_iati_export><can_edit_iati_export>False</can_edit_iati_export></current_user_permissions><created_at>2012-11-22T12:03:59+01:00</created_at><last_modified_at>2015-02-26T13:57:01.439700+01:00</last_modified_at><name>Sport for Development</name><long_name>Sport for Development</long_name><language>en</language><organisation_type>N</organisation_type><currency>EUR</currency><new_organisation_type>22</new_organisation_type><iati_org_id></iati_org_id><url>http://www.isa-youth.org/</url><facebook></facebook><twitter></twitter><linkedin></linkedin><phone>073 64 94 256</phone><mobile></mobile><fax></fax><contact_person>Martijn Harlaar</contact_person><contact_email>info@sportfordevelopment.nl</contact_email><description>Sport for Development is a cooperation between the KNVB, International Sports Alliance (ISA) and Right To Play. Sport and culture are an elementary part in a developed society. Sport develops people, increases life circumstances, and stimulates participations and integration; in the Netherlands and in development countries, in involves kids that would otherwise stand on the sidelines. </description><notes></notes><can_create_projects>False</can_create_projects><enforce_program_projects>False</enforce_program_projects><use_project_roles>False</use_project_roles><public_iati_file>True</public_iati_file><enforce_2fa>False</enforce_2fa><can_become_reporting>False</can_become_reporting><iati_prefixes></iati_prefixes><primary_location>846</primary_location><content_owner></content_owner><original></original><password_policy></password_policy><codelist></codelist><internal_org_ids></internal_org_ids></list-item></results></root>
