            "description": "Food is a basic necessity of life. Yet more than 800 million people in developing countries aren’t getting enough of it. Small-scale farmers are the people that drive the development of regions that are torn by war and conflicts. They ensure that communities have enough to eat, they serve as employers and they bring together people who previously didn’t trust one another.\r\n\r\nWhen farmers work together they always provide a fresh basis for peaceful development. By working together they have more impact in boosting production. They are also better placed to speak from a position of strength when negotiating with their governments for improved services, infrastructure, access to water when it’s in short supply, grazing land and clearer land rights.\r\n\r\nCordaid helps create the right preconditions for small-scale farmers. By offering the required technological knowhow and training, for example. By giving them more insight into the market and improving their access to it. And by strengthening the position of farmers in their region and country.\r\n\r\nCordaid contributes to food security and works on reducing the number of conflicts. In this way Cordaid is creating the opportunities for communities to flourish.\r\n",

            "description": "Between today and 2015, 700,000 mothers will not survive delivering their children unless the available healthcare improves. The rate of maternal mortality is disturbingly high, particularly in fragile countries such as the Central African Republic, Afghanistan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Corruption and a failing administration continually impair healthcare in these countries.\r\n\r\nThe time has come to make healthcare accessible to all people regardless of whether they live in rich or poor areas. The approach used tightens controls and enables patients to take part in deciding their own treatment. In addition, staff remuneration has been made dependent on the achieved results in order to motivate staff to go the extra mile. An approach is called for that not only limits patient contribution to healthcare but also improves its accessibility.\r\n\r\nAll in all, it is time for change. Healthy women are the pillars of both their families and of society. Not only should they be informed how to stay healthy, but also that it is their right to do so; healthcare must be accessible to them. Medical supervision both before and during their pregnancy is crucial. Cordaid works on improving this for all women.\r\n\r\nCordaid aims at providing affordable and accessible healthcare to all, which it has done for many years. Its approach -- using the most recent developments and finance methods -- is followed throughout the world.",

            "description": "The Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust (CPAT) is an independent charitable trust which was established in 1975. Its objective is ‘to advance the education of the public in archaeology’, and this is achieved through three interconnected strands of activity.\r\n\r\nThe Historic Environment Management team maintain the regional Historic Environment Record (HER); provide Planning Services for local authorities, developers and other bodies; and undertake Heritage Management work for Welsh Government, local authorities, landowners, developers and others. \r\n\r\nThe Education and Outreach service provides a wide variety of public engagement, participation and social inclusion opportunities for a range of groups and individuals across the Clwyd-Powys region. This includes events and activities for the general public, as well as work targeted specifically at improving social outcomes and economic aspirations.\r\n\r\nThe Investigation and Research team are responsible for the delivery of archaeological projects funded by private- and public-sector bodies, including Welsh Government. This work enhances the knowledge base which supports Cadw decision-making, enables sustainable development across our region, and delivers training and educational outcomes for professionals, non-professionals and the public.\r\n\r\nThe Administration department maintains a strict control on expenditure, and ensures that the operations of the Trust are conducted in an efficient manner. Governance of the Trust is through a Board of Trustees, which normally meets four times per year. Other activities of the Trust are advised by an Ethics Committee, an Investment Committee, and the Board of Directors of the CPAT HER Charitable Trust. CPAT submits publicly-accessible annual accounts to the Charities Commission, and files returns to Companies House. CPAT is a Registered Organisation with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.\r\n",

            "description": "Le Comité Régional de Concertation des Ruraux est un cadre de concertation et d'action créé par les organisations paysannes de la région de Sikasso le 1er octobre 1996 à Doussoudiana dans le cercle de Yanfolila. Il compte en son sein plus de 400 organisations paysannes (coopératives et  associations ou groupements de base). Ces organisations sont constituées par les producteurs au tour des activités d'agriculture, élevage, plantation d'arbre fruitiers, maraîchage, exploitation forestière, femmes rurales etc. Celles ci sont regroupées au niveau des cercles pour créer les cadres locaux de concertation des organisations paysannes (CLCOP). Les CLCOP constituent les représentations du CRCR au niveau des cercles. Ceux constituent des  centres d'information Agricole où les producteurs et leurs organisations peuvent se réunir, se former, avoir des informations sur les filières Agricoles, les partenaires commerciaux, techniques et financiers, les textes législatifs et réglementaires (Loi d'Orientation Agricole) etc.\r\nLe CRCR agit sur la base de quatre principes:\r\n- la reconnaissance de l'Etat et des Collectivités comme responsable de la définition des politiques,\r\n- la reconnaissance d'autres acteurs intervenant dans le développement rural,\r\n- l'autonomie des organisations membres,\r\n- l'animation par les ruraux de leur propre développement.\r\n\r\nLe CRCR a un plan stratégique et un plan de communication.\r\nIl est membre plusieurs cadres de concertation dans la région de Sikasso comme le Comité Exécutif Régional de l'Agriculture (CERA) le Cadre Régional de concertation des acteurs sur la gestion des ressources naturelles etc. En outre le CRCR a un partenariat avec les collectivités dans le cadre de la mise en oeuvre de la politique de développement Agro-sylvo-pastoral de la région de Sikasso.\r\nIl est membre de l'AOPP.\r\n",

            "description": "Center for Regeneration and Empowerment of Africa Through Africa (CREATA) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 2006.\r\n\r\nCREATA is about peace and transformational development; we strive to bring Kenyans to a common ground to end violent conflicts by addressing the structural injustices through sports as a catalyst for development,  promoting peace, good governance and education targeting children, young people, women and marginalized communities. \r\n\r\nSince it was founded CREATA has found a niche in using sports as a tool for community transformation and catalyst for development. Through sports CREATA has been running two main programs namely; Sports for Development Program, Peace and Governance Program. This year, CREATA is rolling out Football for WASH (F4WASH) program in 60 primary schools in Migori County – a four year program funded by KNVB and UNICEF. \r\n\r\nSports for Development program started as voluntary process where communities were mobilized though football to address the issues of education in Uriri in Migori County. Through the junior sports clubs created, parents came together to form savings associations. Through this savings scheme parents are able to save money for thier children’s school fees, as the organisation boosts their savings through matching funds. Currently we have turnover of about USD 100 per month. In the first year of operating this fund (2012) CREATA was able to fully sponsor 3 children in high school. We are however hoping that this turnover is going to increase and pay for more students. CREATA has establishing 50 sports clubs and about 5 active parents associations. \r\n\r\nIn our Peace and Governance program, CREATA with the funding of IFP Kenya has recently carried out a baseline survey of the knowledge gaps in the communities about the new constitutions and is currently rolling out community training, awareness and forums on the contents of the new constitution. In this project, coaches and sports clubs are the main ambassadors of the message, principles and spirit of the new constitution. \r\n\r\nVision:  \r\nCREATA envisages a peaceful, transformed society and a just world where the integrity of creation and human dignity are the pillars for sustainable development. \r\n\r\nMission:\r\nOur aim is to enhance peace, education, human solidarity using sports as a catalyst for community transformation and development.             "description": "The Palestinian Department of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage (DACH) has been in existence now for more than 12 years since its re-establishment in August 1994. The inauguration of the DACH, under the Palestinian National Authority, was a momentous event and represents the revival of the Department of Antiquities established in 1920 under the British Mandate and terminated with the political events of 1948, when Israel was established. Subsequently, Jordan assumed those responsibilities for the West Bank, and Egypt for the Gaza strip.\r\n\r\nWhen the DACH was established it possessed no archaeological records or finds from excavations undertaken previously.\r\n\r\nMoreover, because of inadequate opportunities for field training, the Department inherited a serious shortage of qualified personnel. The new situation gives Palestinians an independent role to explore the history of Palestine from its primary material sources, a task reserved until recently for foreign archaeologists. This situation had often led to the political and ideological use of this material and interpretation without objective scientific controls.\r\n\r\nThe establishment of the DACH marks the beginning of the local field school of archaeology. The perspective on which the Department is basing its efforts in research, education, preservation, and legislation is basically that of contemporary internationally accepted standards. It is the modern humanistic understanding that views the integral role of Palestinian culture within Archaeology in Palestine human culture, making archaeology in Palestine a scientific enterprise within the setting of international scientific Endeavour.             "description": "DADTCO is a social enterprise pursuing poverty alleviation with entrepreneurial zeal, business methods and the courage to innovate and to prevent soil depletion. They process cassava roots in a mobile factory called an AMPU (Autonomous Mobile Processing Unit) into a new non-perishable product (cassava cake) with which a whole new market has been developed. Cassava is solely grown by small scale farmers and with this innovation the small holder farmers are guaranteed of a market for their cassava. As a root cassava is very perishable, it will deteriorate within 48hr after harvesting. DADTCO developed a patented processing technology that allows processing cassava roots in the field near the farmer. Cassava cake is far more compact than cassava roots, its transport is three times more efficient than roots. Cassava cake can is a raw material for beer, flour, starch and glucose. The AMPU created the bridge between thousands of small scale farmers in Africa and the large scale processing industry.",
