The overall objective of DRSRS is to gather and analyse data and information regarding the natural resources of Kenya and to provide interdisciplinary analysis of such information as it relates to natural resources planning, management and policy formulation at a national, regional and district level. In assessing natural resources, DRSRS primarily employs aerial survey methods in gathering data, while ground surveys are undertaken primarily for ground-truthing. Other modern technology including satellite images (NOAA, Landsat and Spot) and Geographic Information System (GIS) facilitate development and use of database of natural resources. Systematic reconnaissance flight (SRF) surveys over the Kenyan rangelands have been used to collect data on wildlife and livestock distribution and abundance and environmental information are collected. The overriding concern in implementing these surveys has been to maintain continuity in procedures such that consistency of the data is maintained. Consequently, these data are valuable source of information on the distribution, abundance and trend of wildlife/livestock populations and environmental conditions within the Kenya rangelands.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 5203, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 366, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 203, "latitude": 52.379005, "longitude": 4.871727, "city": "Amsterdam", "state": "Noord-Holland", "address_1": "c/o Aidenvironment", "address_2": "Donker Curtiusstraat 7-523", "postcode": "1051JL", "iati_country": "NL", "country": 3, "location_target": 366 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/3a/ef/3aef692dc3fdb4f99acbad5ba6fb21c9.jpg", "latitude": "52.379005", "longitude": "4.871727", "city": "Amsterdam", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2011-06-01T17:07:38+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:56:53.721187+01:00", "name": "EMF", "long_name": "The Ecological Management Foundation", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "C", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 70, "iati_org_id": "NL-KVK-41209391", "url": "http://www.emf.nl/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+31-(0)20-5818250", "mobile": "+31-(0)611332383", "fax": "+31-(0)20-6866251", "contact_person": "Frederik Claasen", "contact_email": "info@emf.nl", "description": "The Ecological Management Foundation (EMF) is a typical non-profit, network organization: the head office is based in Amsterdam and staffed by a committed group of part-time employees and volunteers; several partner organizations around the world share the same ideals and ambitions and provide support where and when needed.\r\n\r\nFurthermore, EMF is dedicated to improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities in developing countries. As the global network of people living with HIV, GNP+’s core strategy is to operationalise the GIPA principle at all levels of the global response through involving PLHIV in all aspects of the HIV response and related services. Since the founding of the organisation, GNP+’s core activities have centred on advocacy, information and knowledge management, and network and community strengthening. Advocacy has been the traditional focus of GNP+ and has included a range of strategies such as activism; campaign and \r\npolicy dialogue; programmes; and services. \r\nIn order to improve the advocacy efforts taken, GNP+ has increasingly invested its time and resources into action research and knowledge management to effectively communicate the information and evidence originating from said research. \r\nGNP+, as a network of networks, undertakes its daily work aided by management support from an international Secretariat and strategic guidance and oversight from the international Board. Through this network of networks structure, GNP+ has supported PLHIV to organise themselves to improve their lives and articulate their needs from the community level through international policy forums. GNP+ currently consists of six regional, autonomous PLHIV networks which serve as regional hubs for national and local networks. GNP+ also provides a platform for new and emerging PLHIV networks among specific populations and constituencies and through social media. The Y+ Programme for young PLHIV and the Positive Community, GNP+’s virtual community, are two such examples of key emerging networks and indicate GNP+’s ommitment \r\nto incorporate the many ways that PLHIV network with one another, be it based on geography and/or other associations.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 258, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 1845, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 1658, "latitude": 51.684414, "longitude": 5.295639, "city": "'s Hertogenbosch", "state": "", "address_1": "Vughterstraat 260", "address_2": "", "postcode": "5211 GR", "iati_country": "NL", "country": 3, "location_target": 1845 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/2d/21/2d21a56832273e7c65393a30a310d456.jpg", "latitude": "51.684414", "longitude": "5.295639", "city": "'s Hertogenbosch", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2014-01-28T16:25:12+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:57:02.147617+01:00", "name": "The Good Shepherd", "long_name": "The Good Shepherd Foundation", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 21, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.goodshepherd.nl/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "073 - 5032918", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "info@goodshepherd.nl", "description": "The Good Shepherd Foundation(TGS) is een initiatief van enkele ondernemers en professionals uit het bedrijfsleven die doordrongen zijn van de onrechtvaardige en schrikbarende kloof tussen de levensomstandigheden in het rijke westen en de derde wereld.\r\n\r\nVanuit hun maatschappelijke betrokkenheid is besloten om te proberen hier op een pragmatische en doortastende wijze iets aan te doen. The International Center currently has programs in Asia, Africa and Latin America. The International Center has five programs: the U.S.-Vietnam Trade Council Education Forum, the New Forests Project, Veterans International/Cambodia, Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation and IC Sports Corps.\r\n\r\nThe U.S.-Vietnam Trade Council Education Forum (USVTC-EF) has played a major leadership role in building the relationship between the U.S. and Vietnam. USVTC-EF seeks the full normalization of U.S.-Vietnam relations; helps create essential policy frameworks for building a new economic partnership between the two nations; and provides assistance for the establishment of links that increase bilateral trade and investment. USVTC-EF has played a key role in the negotiation and implementation of the U.S.-Vietnam Bilateral Trade Agreement (BTA) and Vietnam's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) and continues to work closely with Vietnam on next steps in Vietnam's economic integration and development.\r\n\r\nThe New Forests Project (NFP) supports reforestation and agroforestry projects in the developing world that protect and restore natural forests, reverse land degradation and promote land-use practices that increase productivity and sustainability. NFP consists of two protects: the World Seed Program and the Clean Water initiative. The World Seed Program supplies free seeds and other supplies to in-country partners who redistribute the seeds locally. NFP also provides agroforestry trainings, small grants for the purchase of equipment for reforestation efforts among other things. Since 1982, NFP has helped plant over 8 million trees around the globe. The Clean Water Initiative supports local water associations, committees and organizations in their efforts to provide clean, reliable water and sanitation services to rural communities in Central America and the Caribbean.\r\n\r\nVeterans International Cambodia (VIC) assists in the rehabilitation of Cambodians living with disabilities and helps them to lead active, fulfilling lives. VIC' s goal is to support victims of war and poverty who are often living on the margins of society. VIC supports three rehabilitation centers across Cambodia where people with disabilities receive rehabilitation services, prosthetics, orthotics, and other equipment. Patients also have the opportunity to meet with self- help groups and community organizations. These groups allow people with disabilities and their family members to socialize, share their experiences, and build self-confidence. Groups are given microloans to manage and start small, self-sustaining co-op projects such as fish farms or rice banks. Members are encouraged to have a voice and become involved in their community' s development.\r\n\r\nFounded in 1978, Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation (VVAF) is a humanitarian organization that addresses the consequences of war through programs of advocacy and service in Vietnam. VVAF receives grants from the Department of State and other organizations to conduct landmine clearance projects in Vietnam with the Technology Centre for Bomb and Mine Disposal Engineering Command (BOMICEN). VVAF and its project partners carryout surveys to collect information about the prevalence and burden of the most common mental disorders and the effects this has on the individuals and their families. VVAF is also engaged in upgrading and constructing schools in various provinces around Vietnam.\r\n\r\nThe International Center' s Sports Corps Division aims to improve understanding between the people of developing countries and the United States through the medium of youth sports. Our sport exchange programs create a dynamic environment for youth of various SE Asian countries to better understand each other and demonstrate how sports can overcome economic, religious, and geographic differences. These exchange programs, mainly focusing on young women and their coaches, seek to empower, teach, and inspire these women to improve themselves and their communities through sport.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 596, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 4083, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [], "logo": null, "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2017-03-13T17:25:13.820840+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2017-03-13T17:25:13.820890+01:00", "name": "The International Centre ", "long_name": "The International Centre for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "", "description": "", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": null, "content_owner": 3656, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 3211, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 5077, "latitude": 38.9031489, "longitude": -77.0467801, "city": "Washington", "state": "Washington D.C.", "address_1": "2033 K Street, N.W.", "address_2": "20006", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "US", "country": 5, "location_target": 3211 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/76/a5/76a5fab75b8e8cbfea48235558ab10a2.jpg", "latitude": "38.9031489", "longitude": "-77.0467801", "city": "Washington", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2016-02-10T14:19:45.425390+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2016-02-10T14:20:46.070523+01:00", "name": "IFPRI", "long_name": "The International Food Policy Research Institute", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "K", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 80, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.ifpri.org/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "http://twitter.com/ifpri", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+1 202-862-5600", "mobile": "", "fax": "+1 202-467-4439", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "ifpri@cgiar.org", "description": "2033 K Street, N.W.\r\nWashington, D.C. 20006, U.S.A.
