This partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and affected communities represents an innovative approach to international health financing. The Global Fund’s model is based on the concepts of country ownership and performance-based funding, which means that people in countries implement their own programs based on their priorities and the Global Fund provides financing on the condition that verifiable results are achieved.\r\nSince its creation in 2002, the Global Fund has become the main financier of programs to fight AIDS, TB and malaria, with approved funding of US$ 22.9 billion for more than 1,000 programs in 151 countries. To date, programs supported by the Global Fund have provided AIDS treatment for 3.6 million people, anti-tuberculosis treatment for 9.3 million people and 270 million insecticide-treated nets for the prevention of malaria. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in more than 140 countries.\nWe operate with three core principles: partnership, country ownership and performance-based funding. All partners need to take part in decision-making. People actually implementing grants know the best way to fight disease in their country, and come up with the most effective solutions. Funding should be provided where it can achieve the best results. By challenging barriers and embracing innovative approaches, we strive for maximum impact.\nWorking together, we have saved millions of lives and provided prevention, treatment and care services to hundreds of millions of people, helping to revitalize entire communities, strengthen local health systems and improve economies.\nGlobal Fund staff, all based in Geneva, Switzerland, come from all professional backgrounds and from more than 100 different countries, united in their dedication to the defeat of these epidemics", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3641, "content_owner": 2238, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 4253, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 5621, "latitude": 28.704059, "longitude": 77.10249, "city": "", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "IN", "country": 2, "location_target": 4253 } ], "logo": null, "latitude": "28.704059", "longitude": "77.10249", "city": "", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2017-05-18T13:05:32.925447+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2017-05-18T13:05:36.324315+02:00", "name": "GLRA India", "long_name": "The German Leprosy Relief Association (GLRA) India", "language": "en", "organisation_type": null, "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://glraindia.org/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Dr. Rajbir Singh", "contact_email": "nrs@glraindia.in; rajbir@glraindia.org", "description": "", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": false, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 5621, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 3202, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 5068, "latitude": 55.688366, "longitude": 12.581401, "city": "Copenhagen K", "state": "Copenhagen", "address_1": "Øster Voldgade 10", "address_2": "", "postcode": "DK-1350", "iati_country": "DK", "country": 151, "location_target": 3202 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/fb/2f/fb2fcf98ef7c7bbb90e17634db6a007f.jpg", "latitude": "55.688366", "longitude": "12.581401", "city": "Copenhagen K", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2016-01-27T12:04:56.349758+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2016-01-27T12:04:56.636370+01:00", "name": "GEUS", "long_name": "The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "K", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 80, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.geus.dk/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+45 3814 2000", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Henrik Højmark Thomsen", "contact_email": "geus@geus.dk", "description": "The Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland (GEUS) is an internationally oriented, independent research and advisory institution established in 1888 within the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building.\r\n\r\nGEUS carries out activities to exploit and protect geological resources in Denmark and Greenland. In assessing natural resources, DRSRS primarily employs aerial survey methods in gathering data, while ground surveys are undertaken primarily for ground-truthing. Other modern technology including satellite images (NOAA, Landsat and Spot) and Geographic Information System (GIS) facilitate development and use of database of natural resources. Systematic reconnaissance flight (SRF) surveys over the Kenyan rangelands have been used to collect data on wildlife and livestock distribution and abundance and environmental information are collected.
