TI-Kenya is one of the autonomous chapters of the global Transparency International movement that are all bound by a common vision of a corruption-free world. The global movement provides a platform for sharing knowledge and experience, developing strategies to respond to regionally distinct patterns of corruption and initiating advocacy campaigns at both the regional and sub-regional level. The vision of TI Kenya is that of a transparent, accountable and corruption-free Kenya and the mission is to transform the society and institutions by supporting the development of high integrity leadership in all sectors and at all levels. TI-Kenya’s key goals are: Institutions that are efficient and deliver quality services; and, a society that upholds and promotes integrity.\r\n\r\nThe strategic objectives are:\r\n•\tTo strengthen governance in targeted institutions – TI-Kenya believes that strengthening governance in public institutions will significantly enhance their efficiency and ensure they deliver quality services to the public. It is thus targeting public institutions in the water, education, health, humanitarian aid, climate finance governance, the police and extractive sectors. \r\n•\tTo develop an effective legislative and policy environment - TI-Kenya supports the development of quality laws (in respect to integrity, transparency and accountability) and monitors their implementation.\r\n•\tTo strengthen the capacity of the public to recognize and fight corruption - TI-Kenya works towards strengthening the capacity of the public to recognize corrupt practices and take action against such practices. TI-Kenya pays special focus on the youth as a key pillar in enhancing integrity and fighting corruption.\r\n\r\nTI-Kenya’s key approaches include research, partnerships development, capacity building and civic engagement. \r\nThrough the Advocacy and Legal Advisory Centres (ALACs) in Eldoret, Kisumu, Mombasa and Nairobi, interventions in the education sector in Kisumu, Kwale and Trans Nzoia, and the Humanitarian Aid Integrity Programme implemented in Turkana, Wajir and West Pokot, TI-Kenya has spread its work to the masses, engaging more Kenyans in the fight against corruption and constructively engaged county governments. TI-Kenya has contributed towards the development of key laws necessitated by the Constitution, particularly in regard to integrity provisions. The organization developed amendments to the Leadership and Integrity law, and drafted the Whistleblower Protection Bill. TI-Kenya in addition contributed amendments to the Climate Change Bill, Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Bill, 2014 and the Health Bill among others. TI-Kenya drafted the model county Access to Information and Public Participation bills and engaged four counties in the adoption of these bills. Civic engagement is central in TI-Kenya’s strategy. Through the ALACs, TI-Kenya is empowering Kenyans to actively participate in anti-corruption efforts while providing a vehicle through which they can report and pursue corruption-related complaints, with over 5,000 people given legal advice in the last year. TI-Kenya has to date initiated the formation of 102 integrity clubs to engage students in ethical and integrity learning. \r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": true, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 1948, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2683, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 3647, "latitude": 52.370216, "longitude": 4.895168, "city": "Berlin", "state": "", "address_1": "Alt-Moabit 96", "address_2": "", "postcode": "10559", "iati_country": "DE", "country": 3, "location_target": 2683 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/05/77/0577d47b4ff94528034959a4db602510.jpg", "latitude": "52.370216", "longitude": "4.895168", "city": "Berlin", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-03-04T17:01:38.395361+01:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-03-05T09:20:04.706672+01:00", "name": "Transparency Int.", "long_name": "Transparency International", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/22769?trk=tyah&trkInfo=idx%3A2-1-6%2CtarId", "url": "http://www.transparency.org/", "facebook": "https://www.facebook.com/TransparencyInternational?fref=ts", "twitter": "http://www.transparency.org/", "linkedin": "", "phone": "+49-30 3438 200", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "ti@transparency.org", "description": "Transparency international is a global movement with one vision: a world in which government, business, civil society and the daily lives of people are free of corruption.\r\n\r\nIn 1993, a few individuals decided to take a stance against corruption and created Transparency International. Now present in more than 100 countries, the movement works relentlessly to stir the world’s collective conscience and bring about change. We alone determine our programmes and activities – no donor has any input into Transparency International’s policies. Our sources of funding are made transparent as is our spending.\r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 3647, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 2807, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 4352, "latitude": 0.0, "longitude": 0.0, "city": "", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "CO", "country": 41, "location_target": 2807 } ], "logo": null, "latitude": "0.0", "longitude": "0.0", "city": "", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2015-05-06T10:22:28.604580+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-05-06T10:22:28.658303+02:00", "name": "Transparencia por Colombi", "long_name": "Transparencia por Colombia", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": "", "url": "www.transparenciacolombia.org.co", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "", "contact_email": "", "description": "", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 4352, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 830, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 736, "latitude": 1.019089, "longitude": 35.002305, "city": "Kitale", "state": "", "address_1": "P.O Box 2350", "address_2": "", "postcode": "30200", "iati_country": "KE", "country": 27, "location_target": 830 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/f0/9f/f09fc2c44bda8dc4820f2659ba331299.jpg", "latitude": "1.019089", "longitude": "35.002305", "city": "Kitale", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2012-09-06T08:05:44+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:57:02.039813+01:00", "name": "TYSA", "long_name": "Trans Nzoia Youth Sports Association", "language": "en", "organisation_type": "N", "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 22, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://www.tysak.org/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "0725 200099", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Francis Gichuki", "contact_email": "tysaktl@yahoo.com", "description": " TYSA is a National Non Governmental Organization that has over years enhanced its capacity in order to deliver its services to the target group. Townhouse supports artistic work in a wide range of media through exhibitions, residencies for artists, curators and writers, educational initiatives and outreach programs.\r\n\r\nBy establishing local and international relationships, as well as diversifying both the practitioners and audiences of contemporary art, Townhouse aims to support and expand the knowledge, appreciation and practice of contemporary arts in Egypt and the region. \r\n\r\nTownhouse is located in downtown Cairo's bustling car mechanic's district, off of Tahrir Square. The exhibitions program features over 12 exhibitions a year, hosted in the 650-square-meter Factory Space and the First Floor Gallery in the main building. Exhibitions feature the work of young emerging artists alongside those who are internationally recognized. Many local artists with early shows at Townhouse have gone on to exhibit worldwide.\r\n\r\nTownhouse has initiated numerous large-scale events, beginning with the city-wide Nitaq Festival in 2000. PhotoCairo, the first festival in Egypt exclusively dedicated to photography and video, was launched in 2002.\r\n\r\nSince its inception, Townhouse has worked to make the arts accessible to different groups of society, whilst using them as a powerful medium for integration and understanding. Our Outreach Program offers a number of arts workshops for adults and children, with participants coming from all over Cairo, including those with special needs and from marginalized communities.\r\n\r\nTownhouse collaborates with institutions and arts professionals both regionally and internationally to create exhibitions, share resources, and facilitate artist exchanges.",
