He is affiliated with the ‘Academy of Tourism’ and the ‘professorship Visitor Studies’. \r\n\r\nEugenio studied human geography with a specialisation in ‘International Development Studies’ at Utrecht University. He pursued a PhD degree (Cum laude) at Groningen University, The Netherlands, under the supervision of Professor Gregory Ashworth. His dissertation is titled Colonial Heritage and Ethnic Pluralism; Its socio-psychological meaning in a multiethnic society. \r\n\r\nHis research and teaching expertise include tourism product development and planning; heritage and tourism; uses and meanings of heritage; human resource development and tourism in developing countries; tourism research methods and techniques; sustainability in tourism. At NHTV, he teaches courses in Tourism Management and Heritage Tourism.
