AMREF implements projects to learn, and shares this evidence-based knowledge with others to advocate for changes in health policy and practice. Based on the belief that health is a basic human right, AMREF seeks to empower communities to take control of their health and to establish a vibrant and participatory health care system made up of communities, health workers and governments.\r\n\r\nOur Strategic Focus:\r\nAMREF’s strategy seeks to strengthen health systems and to design and enhance interventions that improve people’s access to health through their active participation. It is a reference point for information generation and knowledge sharing for the network, government agencies, and NGOs involved in similar development fields.\r\n\r\nThe Secretariat is also responsible for facilitating development programmes and capacity building for all the NGOs in the network and establishing linkages between the NGOs and resource institutions and individuals.\r\n", "notes": "Organisation duplicate 1474 removed", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 7, "content_owner": 555, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 684, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 36, "latitude": 10.599799, "longitude": 14.316692, "city": "Maroua", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "264", "iati_country": "CM", "country": 8, "location_target": 684 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/e3/63/e3639438b921486acbbccf83ee81f12d.jpg", "latitude": "10.599799", "longitude": "14.316692", "city": "Maroua", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2012-05-30T14:36:04+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2015-02-26T13:56:50.602324+01:00", "name": "ALVF Antenne Extrême-Nord", "long_name": "Asso. This is to enable the project adequately address the perennial water crisis experienced in most rural communities in Northern Ghana which led to the spread of the guineaworm disease which became endemic in some Districts. \r\n\r\nThe Project focuses on education of beneficiaries on the essence of good Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practices to ensure improvement in the health and livelihoods of the people. Not only to improve school attendance by pupils in these communities, but to enhance the economic activity of their parents for improved educational support from the families.\r\n\r\nA lot of emphasis is also placed on the training of local Artisans (community people) in the construction and maintenance of rainwater harvesting tanks to ensure sustainability and spread of the technology. \r\n\r\nThe coverage area of the project is currently within communities in the Northern Region of Ghana. This is mainly because, due to their guinea worm endemic nature in the past, they were prioritized for the intervention to make good drinking water available to the people to check the spread of the disease. \r\nOur vision is to expand our services to the other regions with perenniel water problems in future. \r\n\r\nPresby Water Project joined the Ghana WASH Alliance in 2009 in order to leverage additional funding and technical assistance to meet this dream.\r\n\r\nOver the past 5 years, a total of 24 institutional and 200 household tanks have been constructed by the project in 7 districts of the Northern Region.\r\n\r\nSimilarly, 150 tanks have been constructed in collaboration with local partners such as Christian Children's Fund in Canada (CCFC), Technoserve and NewEnergy among others. \r\n\r\nThe significance of the introduction and promotion of rainwater harvesting in these communities cannot be over emphasised because of the visible impact it has made in the eradication of the disease from the area. \r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 469, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 3849, "total_budgets": [], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [], "locations": [ { "id": 5345, "latitude": 8.975587, "longitude": 38.765259, "city": "", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "ET", "country": 12, "location_target": 3849 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/d4/0f/d40f1b0e7cb5b392abac27a1a45d00f1.jpg", "latitude": "8.975587", "longitude": "38.765259", "city": "", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2016-10-28T13:50:46.892700+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2017-05-19T16:26:43.133493+02:00", "name": "CommonSense Consortia", "long_name": "CommonSense Consortia", "language": "en", "organisation_type": null, "currency": "EUR", "new_organisation_type": 30, "iati_org_id": null, "url": "http://nso-g4aw.akvoapp.org/en/project/5297/#summary", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Allard de Wit", "contact_email": "allard.dewit@wur.nl", "description": "The Netherlands Space Office (NSO) grants a subsidy to all the G4AW projects. During the conflict, Concern Worldwide implemented emergency programmes distributing NFIs in IDP Camps, as well as livelihoods and emergency environmental health, focusing on clean water, sanitation and hygienic practices. \r\n\r\nToday, Concern Worldwide is implementing in three counties five-year thematic programme strategies, delivering comprehensive programmes in Grand Bassa, Lofa and Montserrado counties, in the areas of:\r\n\r\nEnvironmental Health (WASH) – focusing on access to safe water and sanitation facilities (e.g. through latrine and water point construction/rehabilitation) and health and hygiene promotion.\r\n\r\nEducation – focusing on primary education, increasing access to and quality of education, as well as protection and governance within the sector.\r\n\r\nLivelihoods – focusing on increasing food security (particularly through increased and diversified agricultural production), income generation activities and adult literacy.\r\n\r\nHIV and AIDS – focusing on providing care, treatment, support, and livelihoods opportunities to people living with and/or affected by HIV and AIDS.\r\n", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 972, "content_owner": null, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] }, { "id": 4132, "total_budgets": [ { "id": 11, "budget_lines": [], "currency": "XOF", "value": 177210000000.0, "value_date": "2017-01-01", "period_start": "2017-01-01", "period_end": "2017-12-31", "status": "2", "organisation": 4132 } ], "recipient_org_budgets": [], "region_budgets": [], "country_budgets": [], "total_expenditures": [], "documents": [ { "id": 8, "categories": [ { "id": 5, "category": "A11", "document": 8 } ], "countries": [], "url": "", "document": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/db/org/4132/document/28591_PEA_Transition_AccordFin_RSG0122710.pdf", "format": "application/pdf", "title": "Le contrat qui marque l'engagement entre le Ministère néerlandais du commerce et le Bénin", "title_language": "fr", "language": "fr", "document_date": "2017-09-16", "organisation": 4132 } ], "locations": [ { "id": 5515, "latitude": 6.370293, "longitude": 2.391236, "city": "Cotonou", "state": "", "address_1": "", "address_2": "", "postcode": "", "iati_country": "BJ", "country": 81, "location_target": 4132 } ], "logo": "https://storage.googleapis.com/akvo-rsr-production-media-files/cache/33/a2/33a253e7f644bf51106a96a847449a6e.jpg", "latitude": "6.370293", "longitude": "2.391236", "city": "Cotonou", "current_user_permissions": { "can_create_iati_export": false, "can_edit_iati_export": false }, "created_at": "2017-03-28T14:41:43.144501+02:00", "last_modified_at": "2017-04-04T14:05:12.654385+02:00", "name": "Ministère de l'Economie et des Finance", "long_name": "Ministère de l'Economie et des Finances du Benin", "language": "fr", "organisation_type": null, "currency": "XOF", "new_organisation_type": 10, "iati_org_id": "XM-DAC-236", "url": "http://www.caabenin.net/", "facebook": "", "twitter": "", "linkedin": "", "phone": "", "mobile": "", "fax": "", "contact_person": "Séréki OUMOROU", "contact_email": "alindahoo@yahoo.fr", "description": "La CAA est établissement public national doté de personnalité morale et d'une autonomie financière sous la tutelle du Ministère de l'Economie des Finances. SNV contributes to this by strengthening the capacity of local organisations. SNV delivers advisory services to almost 3,000 clients in more than 30 different countries across Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Balkans. In Asia, SNV provides capacity development services to government, non-government and private sector organisations in Nepal, Vietnam, Bhutan, Laos PDR, Cambodia, Bangladesh and Pakistan as well as to a number of regional organisation and networks. SNV seeks to achieve its overall strategic goal of poverty reduction and good governance by focussing on: \r\n\r\n•\tImproving the access, coverage and quality of basic services\r\n•\tIncreasing production, income and employment opportunities for the poor\r\n. \r\n\r\nProgramme priorities in Nepal\r\nSNV began working in Nepal in 1980 and since then our role has evolved from an implementing agency to a capacity strengthening service provider. After years of experience on the field, SNV has acquired extensive technical know-how and an in-depth understanding of the social and cultural undertones of Nepal. However, SNV Nepal does not implement development projects itself; rather it works to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of key local organisations and government bodies. This way, implementation is placed in the hands of local actors. This SNV characteristic contributes to sustainable and nationally owned impact on development leading to lasting poverty reduction, as well as fulfilling the MDGs. \r\nSNV Nepal currently works in five sectors which have been prioritised and aligned with the Government of Nepal’s Development Plan. They include:\r\n\r\nImproving basic services:\r\n•\tWater, Sanitation and Hygiene\r\n•\tRenewable Energy (biogas, improved water mills, others)\r\n\r\nIncreasing production, income and employment opportunities:\r\n•\tSmallholder Cash Crops (orthodox tea, cardamom, apple, others)\r\n•\tForest Products (timber and non-timber forest products, pro-poor carbon funding)\r\n•\tPro-poor Sustainable Tourism\r\n\r\nTotal staff of SNV Nepal is around 65, of which 45 are professional advisers (international and national). In addition, SNV works increasingly through local providers of capacity development services and in partnership with other international organisations like World Tourism Organisation, UNDP, World Business Council for Sustainable Development, and Fair Trade Labelling Organisations.\r\n\r\nGeographical Focus\r\n\r\nSNV focuses its work at national and sub-national level. At sub-national level, activities are concentrated in the East (office in Dharan), Central Terai (office in Hetauda) and the West (office in Nepalgunj). Among district levels, SNV is active in: Jumla, Humla, Dolpa, Mugu, Kalikot, Dailekh, Surkhet, Bardiya, Kailali and Kanchapur in the West; Taplujung, Ilam, Panchthar, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta Terhathum, Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha in the East; and Chitwan, Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari and Dhanusha in the Central Terai region.", "notes": "", "can_create_projects": false, "enforce_program_projects": false, "use_project_roles": false, "public_iati_file": true, "enforce_2fa": false, "can_become_reporting": false, "iati_prefixes": null, "primary_location": 563, "content_owner": 3210, "original": null, "password_policy": null, "codelist": null, "internal_org_ids": [] } ] }{ "count": 6073, "next": "
