NL-KVK-24428291 Acacia Water <narrative>3R Jordan - Acacia Water</narrative> Design and implementation of rainwater harvesting 3Rs practices and policy dialogue in Jordan This project is dedicated to the integration of water harvesting as an integrated water management and climate adaptation intervention in Jordan’s resiliency efforts. The project is driven by the scoping study funded by the Netherlands Embassy in Amman (reference). Following the clear recommendations of the scoping study, the project was developed to cover both technical and policy making levels. Further it also includes capacity building and participatory approach as core themes in the scope of work. Our consortium and experts present the case and methodology for instituting water harvesting with complementing policy and capacity building action, as a sustainable approach for enhancing the resilience of communities and ecosystems most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change and population growth in Jordan. The methodology adopted in this work plan preparation includes the following: Literature review of water harvesting related reports, papers, data an online resources; - · Consortium meetings and brainstorming sessions; - · Field visit to success and failure stories of 3R in Jordan; - · Field visits to potential water harvesting sites; - · Consultation session with more than 40 stakeholders representing government, private sector, academia, NGOs, local communities and others.
