Founded in 1997, Restless Development (Uganda) is registered as an International NGO with the NGO Board of Uganda (S.5914/1827). Restless Development has 15 years of experience in youth-led, high impact and cost-effective programme delivery in Eastern and North Eastern Uganda. The organization was established to address the challenges faced by young people in Uganda; our goal is for all Ugandan youth to live healthy and productive lives fully supported by those around them. We aim to contribute to this goal through achievement of three key objectives: improved youth sexual and reproductive health and rights; increased youth civic participation and improved youth livelihoods. Our National Strategic Framework (2010-2015) emphasises increased impact through partnerships and advocacy, including an increased focus on engaging marginalised groups. Restless Development is currently operating in eight Districts and 21 sub-counties across Eastern and North-Eastern Uganda. All of our programming is implemented in close collaboration with youth and their communities, civil society organisations and networks, government, service providers and other development partners including the private sector.
