KOEE (Kenya Organization for Environmental Education)

The Kenya Organization of Environmental Education (KOEE) was founded in 1997 under the Agenda 21 with a global partnership to protect the dignity of the environment. KOEE is a not for profit making national Non Governmental Organization (NGO), registered as a membership organization and is a member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE)-International.

The KOEE head office is located in Nairobi, Runda Glory Valley gate 690 and the Kisumu office is located in Milimani Estate.

KOEE has four main program areas:

1. Environmental Education for Sustainable Development
2. Sustainable Urban Community Development
3. Natural Resource Management
4. Environmental Governance

Vision:
An enlightened society that sustainably manages its resources and has improved livelihoods.

Mission:
To promote and re-orient environmental education towards sustainable development through appropriate and realistic national and regional programmes for people to actively participate in solving environmental problems.

Motto:
"Taking action - Safe Earth".
