The Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI) is a non-profit, registered society formed in 1970. It is a federation of 27 State level Voluntary Health Associations in the country, which are further linked with more than 4500 member institutions across the country. VHAI also works closely with a large number of associates and partner organisations in India and abroad. These make VHAI one of the largest health and development networks in the world. The Government of India recognises VHAI as an institution of national importance.
