Valley Foundation (The Valley Foundation)

The Valley Foundation was created in 2009 with the aim of supporting, at an early developmental stage, promising new and potentially up-scalable initiatives for small-scale installations that will secure access to clean drinking water and sanitation water facilities for rural communities in developing countries.

The three criteria for funding are that the initiative is innovative, that there is at least one other funding partner, and that there is a realistic plan for a roll-out in the case the initiative proves successful. By way of exception, projects addressing small-scale water issues which do not entirely fall within the scope of the Foundation’s objective may also be considered.

The Valley Foundation will provide funding of up to a maximum of EUR 20,000 per project per year, for a maximum of two years, payable in quarterly installments.

The Valley Foundation will require twice-yearly progress reports, and reserves the right to discontinue the funding if the results do not come up to its reasonable expectations.
