Since 2013 we have been working with land development project in Jakartabay, and currently we're busy in doing some geotechnical monitoring on those project. The are several monitoring activities at this moment, and one of those activity is borehole monitoring to check the settlement values. The monitoring conducted by the surveyor in the field and need to be reported once a week. Every week once of our Engineer will receives the monitoring data from the surveyor and he needs to update the geodatabase of those boreholes because it will be used by another Engineers. In the past if there are colleagues needs this data, they have to go to the Engineer who has responsibility with the borehole geodatabase, and some times its not going well because the engineer were busy and have to go out of town.
The problem is we don't have a good system to manages the geodatabase and the way to present the data. Until view months ago we had an idea to use webgis to present the monitoring data. Using the webgis every person who involves in this project can access the data from their desk and also see the progress of the project, because in this webgis we also showing other information related with the projects.
We are using open source platform to build the webgis and manages the geodatabase, it is free and we don't have to invest a lot of money on it. Its a breakthrough for us to works in opensource platform in our projects, because usually we work with the paid software. Currently we are still developing the webgis to be more effective and usable for another department who needs the information of this projects
