First of all I owe you my apologies for not being active on RSR since a long time. I got carried away by all exciting opportunities and tasks in our project and I forgot to communicate about it.
The Midterm Evaluation (MTE) of our project is going on at the moment. It's been a wonderful journey so far in which our colleagues and I learned a lot. The independent MTE Team is being led by World Bank Consultant Mark Ellery. They chose to work through an innovative and participatory approach. We gained experience with new tools, such as direct communication with our beneficiaries through a call center.
The preliminary conclusions in a nutshell: 1. We are on track to meet our project targets. 2. Max Foundation's approach is costs efficient. 3. Max Foundation and our local partners are full of potential to contribute to sustainable changes in the sector, such as more active involvement of local entrepreneurs, new models for ownership and results based monitoring.
Hence, conclusions that give confidence and constructive recommendations that will help us to do even better in the future.
