Accra-May 2015. After the successful launch of the documentary "Ghana Water, Our Water: Quality First" the short version has aired online. It was produced by Creative Storm, a Ghanaian production company and highlights the achievements of the EU funded "Water Quality Monitoring and Surveillance" project, implemented by Vitens-Evides International together with IWA, GWCL, the Ministry of Water Resources, Works and Housing, PURC, ProNet, WRC and EPA. It summarizes the project and the long version of the documentary that aired on local television (GTV) on the 7th of May 2015 and is also shown at the 7th World Water Forum in Korea. Besides showing the achievements of the project the documentary also aims to create a momentum on raising awareness on the importance of water quality so that decision-makers take into account the needs of end-users. The main message of the documentary is not simply "Water is life", but "Dirty Water is a threat to life" The stakeholders present at the launch and involved in the EU project all acknowledged that cooperation is key in addressing Ghana's challenging task of providing clean water to its people.
