Danida (Danish International Development Agency in Kenya)

Details

Contact information

Danish International Development Agency, Danida, is an organ under the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the responsibility of administrating all Danish bilateral development assistance. Each year Danida endows partner countries with more than 15 billion Danish Kroner in development assistance. On these pages you can see how some of this money is utilised in Kenya.

“The right to a better life” is the name of the new strategy for Denmark’s development cooperation which aims to combat poverty and promote human rights. All people have the right to a life with equal opportunities. Human rights are therefore the backbone of the strategy. Economic growth is central to the strategy, but growth should be green and promote social progress in order for it to contribute to improving the lives of poor people and their ability to create a better life for themselves.
