The Empowerment Rehabilitation Services Inc. -ERS was founded in 1996 as a local non-governmental, non-profit and non-political Organization in Monrovia. This was done as a result of the April 6, 1996 fighting in Monrovia between rival rebel forces. A total of 43,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) were at the Grey stone American Compound in need of WASH program. ERS has a 100% Liberian staff with primary focus in WASH. ERS head office is located at 112 Slipway (After Slipway Public School) in Monrovia, Liberia and two field offices, one in Harper, Maryland County and Kronowroken, River Gee County.
MISSION STATEMENT
ERS is an NGO working to ensure that all rural communities improve their living standards. We do this working with them to have access to safe drinking water, total sanitation and improved livelihood.
