Caritas India

Caritas Internationalis is a global confederation of over 160 Catholic organizations working in humanitarian emergencies and international development. Caritas has a permanent presence in most of the world’s countries. Inspired by Christian faith and gospel values, we work with the poor, vulnerable and the excluded, regardless of race or religion. As part of the Caritas Internationalis network, Caritas India aspires to restore human dignity of the poor and marginalized by partnering with intermediary organizations in extending support and facilitation and advocating for the rights of the people. It aims to alleviate human suffering and misery in a spirit of charity and compassion, by educating and raising awareness on social justice, cooperation and self-reliance.
