Selam Awassa Technical and Vocational Training College provides disadvantaged youth with practical training in general mechanics, and electrical installation for upright buildings.
Upon graduation, general mechanics students will be capable in foundry, welding, machine operation, and sheet metal processing. Electrical students will be able to provide technical support; install, test, and commission household appliances; maintain household appliances and perform preventive maintenance; and dismantle and dispose of household appliances.
In addition to receiving practical, hands-on training, students also take theoretical courses in their discipline as well as in English, entrepreneurship, and small business management.
