As part of the capacity building project for AIAS and Water & Sanitation operators, a prototype of the Geographic Information System (GIS) known as BIAS (water and sanitation information base) was presented in 2014. After approximately a year and a half of use of the platform, AIAS has expressed interest in the continuation and development of the BIAS platform, focusing on automatic production of periodic pre-reports, aggregation of data at central level and respective online publication, update the information of water and sanitation infrastructures. In addition to the development of BIAS tools, this project also included the training of future users or trainers to ensure the continuity of the BIAS platform, with a view to future expansion of BIAS to various cities/towns. In this context, on 5 December 2016, there was a training for the implementation of BIAS at the local level, and training of technicians for central administration of BIAS and WebSIg. The training of the technicians for central administration of BIAS had as main objectives: Articulation and data processing at the central level; Proficiency in updating and reporting procedures; Domain of procedures of local redistribution of data; Configuration of WebSIG tools in user stations and servers; Configuration of user profiles and WebSIG workspace.
